(SAD HANDS) For my peeps that trip
I have finished etching, finished packing, and now I'm sitting here dreading waking up in 4 hours but still in total disbelief that with like 15 hours of notice before it starts, that I'll be on my way to a super awesome festival. These words are jumbled but I'm v tired. I etched around 30 glasses today which is well over twice my limit. My hands are kinda numb and I feel like I'm being stabbed by a thousand tiny needles in my hands and fingers. I'll post fun festival pics tomorrow!
Bad News Bears
Ever since I got back, I think there's been some sort of rush to get all the bad luck out before school starts. That's probably a good thing, but OH GOD WHY in the meantime...
The Sunday after I got back, at 6 in the morning my stupid condition started flaring up again so I had to go back to the hospital. After that, we found out there was a major fiasco with my medicine, and then we accidentally left it at the pharmacy when we went for lunch. So we had to go back and get it before we could get lunch. Then, at lunch, they completely messed up my order after I had been starving for ages, so I just stopped being hungry after that. Which is unfortunate because I need food to take the medicine. Balarghalrghl!
This morning I had to get a blood test, too. As usual it took them multiple tries and many nurses to try and get it, but yet again my instructions rang true. You know if you can instruct the nurses on how to properly take blood from you, including the needle name... you've gotten too many blood tests.
It's seemed to infect my family too. My dad's car has been run into again (for the second time this summer), my mom's been having problems with her siblings, and we're all being given bad news everywhere we go. Thankfully it's starting to balance out a little at work, since my coworkers are telling me frequently how much I'll be missed (which makes me really sad!) and they're actually organizing a going-away thing which is adorable.
I know I promised to give you stories from Scotland, but things have been so whirlwind and unfortunate since I got back so unfortunately, no transcribing of my journal entries have happened yet. I've actually still yet to unpack a significant part of my gatherings... but the pictures are now up! And stories to come soon.

Sad Hands - If Abihad A Side
Little is known about the artist with the code name TSDDII. The initials are for The Sunday David Die II or maybe i'm wrong and his project's name is just Sad Hands! What i know for sure though, is that his mysterious EP hit me with an unexpected surprise. Its dark and brooding sounds unveil a claustrophobic state of mind, like the rather brilliant ''If Abihad A Side''Β where you can feel the African haunting secrets mourning over the diy aesthetic of this beautiful song!!!
The EP is available for streaming by clicking here.
Failure
I like to look up Protest the Hero tabs and pretend that I could play them...sometimes I actually try with decent results. But, it's Protest the fucking Hero, and I only wield the hands of a mortal.
