Once again, Kurapika had tracked down a man in possession of a pair of eyes. He usually made sure he knew the man in questionâs sexual preferences before making a move, but this time he went in blind. He decided it was best to dress up as a woman, since it was the statistically more common option.
He had gotten himself a long, red dress and red lipstick. He put on mascara and the dark contact lenses that were supposed to keep the multicolored glow of his eyes hidden, should something end up agitating him. Or rather, should he not be able to contain his excitement over receiving another pair of eyes.Â
Kurapika was in luck when the man took the bait and was all over Kurapika. Or so he thought, because his luck got to a sudden end when they both entered a fancy restaurant and the man just paled and stared.
Sensing that something was wrong, Kurapika curled his arms around the manâs and batted his lashes. âWhatâs wrong?â
âThatâs my wife over there!â The man pointed at a woman, and Kurapika didnât care for their marital spats, but he âdidâ care about who that men next to her was.
Oh heâs got to be kidding. Why was Chrollo there? Of all places? Of all people to be here. Why exactly that manâs wife? Was he after the eyes too? Yes, it must be it. It were exactly moments like these Kurapika had put the contacts on, because he felt his eyes glow like the headlights of car right now. He squeezed the manâs arm a bit. Maybe this situation was still salvagable, there was no telling that Chrollo was recongnizing him in the dress, with the high heels and the heavy make up on.
âSo what? Sheâs obviously with someone. Looks like she has fun.â He pulled the man away towards a table, but not too strongly. He was supposed to be a dainty woman after all. âAnd Iâm starving.â
