Adi Kailash is the primary focus of the worship of Lord Shiva during the holy month of Saavan or Shravan. The devotees of Lord Shiva, worship on this sacred mountain by carrying a pilgrimage to Adi Kailash to gain Lord Shiva's blessings. They believe that worshipping Lord Shiva can overcome all the obstacles in their way and can fulfill both materialistic and spiritual desires. The devotees conduct special sacred rituals and pray to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for their growth and success in life.

This is the month that determines the fate of the Bhumiputras – farmers. This is the period when snakes start coming out from deep within the earth as their house starts filling up with water.

This is the period when you should offer various things to the earth and think deeply about the mistakes and good deeds you have done that are the cause of emotional pain and happiness in your life.

For example, Saturn in the 4th house means that you have caused emotional pain to someone for very basic needs like food, shelter and now in this life, it will be difficult for you to understand how much work to do; you will not have any leisure time, even if you get money, you will still keep working, your relationships with your children will be complicated.

So to offer something back to the earth, to replenish the resources of the earth – start with groundwater replenishment in your home, because by doing so, you are filling your land with water again.

You can also do the same rituals for planets in the sign or house of Scorpio and Pisces, as both have Naga Nakshatras.

Secondly, in the month of Shravan – things should be offered for planets in Cancer sign. So make something for the earth every day and offer it to the ground where earthworms or insects, ants can eat it.

If you are not able to find any worm, then offer it to the earth itself. These insects are giving you a chance to complete your karma,

And this is why it is written in Shiv Purana that not doing rituals in the month of Shravan is like dropping a pot of nectar from the hand.

Saavan is a matriarchy, and they elect their queens and senators every two years.

The current queen hails from the Kalopsia family, one of the six noble families of the planet Saavan. Each family is gifted, and the Kalopsias are no exception. Their gift is to weep diamond tears, and as diamonds are the most prized currency of Saavan, their tears are very valuable indeed.
