It was getting late and by now supper was surely cold, she'd have to warm everything up before they could eat it.
That wasn't what was making her sigh deeply though, it was the fact she loathed being so far away from him. It wasn't as though she needed him at her side every moment, but it made her nervous to know he was… out there. With them. With everyone.
Disciple wanted to believe Can Town was safe, but she was still so anxious about living in town, and having everyone know where they live.
But he's been late every night so far, and every night he's come home safe. Something about the busses and getting lost? Pitiable fool. Oh well, there's no point in continuing to watch aimlessly out the window, he wasn't going to come any faster.
Miss Leijon decided there were better uses of her time, she had a sermon to document, quite a few actually! With the words dancing fresh in her head, Disciple wandered to her study and sat down, grabbing one of the large rolls of paper.
She opened it and placed a paper weight at the top to keep it steady, then grabbed one of her precious pens and began coping his words down.
The tip of her pen glided over the paper effortless, in long, elegant and professional strokes.
This was going to be lovely. She aimed to make his words look as pretty as they sounded, and though she feels her work always fell short, the more she practised, the closer she was to achieving perfection. (Of course, that meant with every word he spoke, he was closer as well.)
