💛 Please don't take this the wrong way but - goodness, you make Kamal so nervous! Though, he can hardly think of a time when he isn't at least a little bit nervous, but still! You made him more so than usual! Watching you run around, fixing everyone's problems - including his own. (He recalls with fondness at how you had listened to his worries, never making fun of him or his dental hygiene, or saying that he was overreacting. He smiled, warmth rising to his cheeks as he remembered how quickly you had procured a toothbrush, just for him. Your hand touched his face so gently as you used the other to brush his teeth…)

💙 … B- but that wasn't the point! You were getting way in over your head here, and made Kamal an anxious wreck! Someone like you - God, Boris would eat you alive, Kamal was sure of it! Don't you value your teeth?? He KNEW Boris, he knew what he was planning! Kamal can't believe that he agreed to help you get into Boris' office, he was an idiot!... But- but, he still had time! You were still looking about The Habitat for folks to help before you confronted Boris. And that meant Kamal had enough time to formulate a plan.

💛 Kamal could compare you to that of a butterfly - innocent and fragile. How sweet you were, what with your helpful nature, with how readily and eagerly you strived to make others happy, to make them smile… It's a good lot more than he's ever done. But, God, it made him so worried! At your kindness came a naivete - and it made him so afraid. So afraid that one wrong move of yours and Boris would… Would… Would take you away from Kamal. You. You, whose hands felt so warm on his face. You, who made him smile and feel warm inside for the first time in a long, long while. You, who made him happy… No. No, he couldn't let that happen. Not you. So… Could you blame him for wanting to protect you? To keep you safe and well and all his?

💙 Just before you head off to confront Habit, Kamal approaches you, saying he has something to show you - he knows the ins and outs of The Habitat just as well as Boris, and knows of another locked room filled with people who are trapped and need to be helped! Kamal fight back a giddy smile as you thank him, grabbing his hands and asking him to lead you there. Kamal practically trips over himself in excitement as he guides you into the bowels of The Habitat. Finally, the two of you make it to a single, rusted door in the center of a dimly lit and barren hallway. Kamal pulls out a ring of keys, frantically looking through them before finally unlocking the door. You make your way inside… Before pausing in confusion. There… There wasn't anyone in here. It was decorated like a one room apartment, and oddly barren. Before you can turn to Kamal and ask if he got the wrong room, you're shoved inside, landing flat on the floor, the door quickly shut and locked behind you.
