anyone know what causes these weird shadows? she has these shadows on her calves and her whole head & neck...

@bahama--llama--sims asked me how I recolor hair. I made her a quick tutorial on how to use GIMP and I figured I might as well share it with everybody.  

This is a tutorial for absolute beginners. The only prior knowledge required is how to use S4S to make a recolor (for which there are already plenty of resources available)

When I take sunbaths with my sim (she is a mermaid) she changes her clothes and her hair color, I’m using a overlay skin and the clothes are from the game.

This is her before the sunbath:

hi. i might be the dumbest human being on the planning in regards to reshade rn. lol. keep in mind: i have used reshade before and it worked perfectly (except for dof, lol). the only reason i deleted it in the first place is because i was upset ab dof (...dumb).

So here’s a conundrum I am experiencing. I’m not sure how to explain this, but here goes.

My sim’s hair (at least child female hair) is experiencing an issue with swatches not showing the right colors on EA hairs. CC works fine. Ea hair, I pick the black swatch, black shows up, dark brown, still black, light brown, shows up light brown, reds fuck up as do blondes on and off and I am like wtf is going on.

CC you say? Well I removed some CC hair, issue still persisted, so I removed all CC hair. Issue was gone. So the issue must be in the second batch of cc I removed right? Well I add in the first batch because it is safe, right? Load up my game just to check and bam, issue is there again. I’m like wtf, I just tested those and they were safe.

KILL vs. MAIM COLLECTION - Frequent Problems

A lot of people alerted me that some stuff from my new collection do not show up in CAS. For the sake of helping you guys with problems, I’m creating this post, maybe it works for you. Here we go!

Make sure you game is updated. A huge part of my CC don’t show up in non updated game.

If your game is updated, just make sure that the “Custom Content” option in CAS catalog is checked. If it’s not, check it!

Put the files out of their original folders (that came with the .rar file in download). Put’em all together in Mods folder. It may work if your “resource” file is not meant to read subfolders in your Mods folder.
