if you wrote NV what would you change in the script ?
just listing a few points to fix my major gripes:
the bakugan did not appear on vestal because of dr. michael's portal shenanigans. dr. clay came upon new vestroia during his research, and found an entirely different species which the monarchy could exploit in different ways. they colonized the bakugan's home planet under the guise of "finding a solution to the vestal overpopulation problem," captured the bakugan and brainwashed them into a primal state similar to that of the bakugan who were corrupted by the minus power in s1. this would serve to prove to the vestals that bakugan are mindless and aggressive beings that are too dangerous to roam about.
the vestal colonies settled on new vestroia a year prior to the start of season 2. during this time, they captured numerous bakugan and brainwashed them, set up tournaments to find worthy vexos candidates, and had these vexos members hunt down the six legendary warrior bakugan (who had started to fight back) while also entertaining the vestal populous with bakugan death matches in order to further distract them from the truth.
dan, runo and alice go to nv. runo and alice are more relevant to bring into the resistance than shun and marucho. dan can also be omitted while baron and ace switch to pyrus and aquos respectively and the ventus spot would be left open. as for their bakugan, alice would be reunited with reaper who had yet to be captured and i like the idea of runo using rabeeder who has become very vengeful after failing to protect tricloid from the vexos.
the vexos don't start out the season by constantly losing to the brawlers. the alpha city tournament should really be their first major loss while the first couple of battles in s2 have the resistance struggling against the vexos, to really show how formidable our new antagonists are.
there's not just a focus on destroying the dimension controllers but also spreading the truth to the vestals about what the monarchy is doing. i imagine that the resistance has a hard time doing that at first because they're wanted in all three colonies and thus have a hard time getting the truth out to the people but after the fall of the first dimension controller, enough vestals are convinced that word starts to travel and the seeds of distrust towards the vexos have been sown. public opinion slowly but surely switches in favor of the resistance as the plot of nv1 progresses but the resistance has to prioritize getting the truth out alongside their goal to destroy the dimension controllers.
the sibling rivalry between mira and keith needs to be emphasized. mira eventually realizes that the brother she used to look up to is a lost cause and that she needs to stop him to protect the bakugan and her home. keith as spectra would be quick to dismiss her as an opponent because he has always bested her in the past, always been the smarter one, the stronger one. but mira proves through her tenacity and courage that she'll be the final obstacle in his way, that she can be the shield that defends new vestroia and vestal from his tyranny. she will force him to take her seriously. more attention should be given to the dynamic of these estranged siblings, each leading a faction diametrically opposed to the other, to the fact that mira knows keith's tactics and vice versa, that keith has always had the upperhand in previous battles but that mira is slowly growing and getting better.
more focus should be given to how spectra plans to conquer vestal and less should be on making helios the ultimate bakugan. at a certain point, spectra's only goal seems to be upgrading helios and defeating drago at any cost. i'm well aware that spectra needs drago's perfect core energy to become truly invincible but there are only so many times spectra can battle dan before it gets tiresome. his plan to take over vestal ends up being put on the backburner as a result and that's an issue. spectra and gus have the perfect opportunity to seize control of vestal after zenoheld and the vexos have been ousted for their crimes on new vestroia.
the creation of the bt system and spectra's rise to power in vestal allows for both the resistance and the battle brawlers to be relevant to the story of nv2. the attribute energies can be given to the original six brawlers while the vestal battle brawlers will focus their energy on the spectra and gus situation on vestal. this way mira will deal with spectra and dan will deal with hydron and zenoheld.
volt defects during the bt system arc and lync defects much later. don't think the alternative will need to be a thing.
i don't wanna get into the finer details of a potential rewrite so that's about the majority of what i'd change.

You're so right! S2 Steve is everything to me I swear. Which is why I decided he needed to meet Robin a year earlier (so they could do high school shenanigans and be gay together), and of course add Eddie, because I always need more Eddie. I love the hype for this one because I got all weirded out thinking no one would care because a. it's pre-relationship pining and b. I already posted the S3 rewrite 😭 BUT now I'm excited to finish it and start sharing it!!
(Also it needs a title and it's now occurring to me that I should go find some FOB lyrics shouldn't I?)
ANYWAY have another snippet, because you deserve some of the boys flirting at Tina's Halloween Party:
Steve didn’t have to ruminate on the exchange for long before Eddie’s eyes landed on him across the kitchen. Steve wasn’t really sure how, but his socked feet started carrying him towards Eddie without his having to think about it. He figured that was a good thing, because he was too busy feeling every inch of his skin heat up from the way Eddie kept staring to remember how his limbs worked.
“As I live and breathe,” Eddie actually whistled as he looked Steve over from head to toe, and Robin did a very poor job of holding back a snort. So she was moving with him, then. Good to know. “Risky Business?”
“Mhmm,” Steve confirmed, wondering if the way he felt hot all over was showing on his bare legs.
Steve needed a minute to take in Eddie’s “costume,” considering it was basically exactly what Eddie wore every other day—ripped jeans, combat boots instead of Reeboks tonight, some band t-shirt, a flannel, and a leather jacket on top. The only addition was a pair of sparkling red devil’s horns that sat atop his head, and some smudged eyeliner that left Steve needing to swallow before he could spit out any coherent words.
“Satan?” Steve guessed. Eddie smiled and twisted around to show off the spiked tail he’d also put on for the occasion. Steve nearly choked at the sight, just barely escaping Eddie’s notice since he was turned around. Then he pulled out a little pitchfork he had hiding in his back pocket, waving it back and forth for Steve’s approval. Steve could feel exactly how dry his mouth was as he said, “Works for you.”
“I thought so,” Eddie gave Steve a wicked grin to match. He snuck another glance at Steve’s thighs, then added, “You pull that off better than Tom Cruise.”
Robin, whom Steve had honestly forgotten about already, scoffed and rolled her eyes a little too dramatically before informing him she was going to find Barb.
That left just Steve and Eddie, hanging out by the drinks table and looking each other up and down. There was something electric about standing this close to him, outside of the drab backdrop of Hawkins High. Even in school, Steve could feel that tingle at the back of his neck whenever Eddie was paying attention to him above anyone else. But here it felt more like a jolt through every nerve ending in Steve’s body, trying to entice his hands to reach out and touch Eddie in the search for more.
Lena wakes on the Daxamite ship. Her confusion shifts to horror when she realizes she's been changed into a long dark gown, a far cry from the sensible clothes she'd worn to the lab that morning.
When Rhea prods her to the window to see the chaos raging in National City below, dread pools in the bottom of her stomach, mingling with the fear already there. As Rhea finishes revealing her grand plan, Lena draws away from her.
"You're insane--"
In an instant, Lena's voice evaporates into nothing but air. Panic fills her as she tries again, only to have nothing but breath pass her lips.
Rhea tsks, withdrawing a small device from her robes, no bigger than a key fob.
"Now is that any way to speak to your future mother in law?" She wiggles the device between her fingers, and Lena quickly deduces that whatever has stolen her voice, it has everything to do with the tiny remote. "Not to mention your queen."
Lena glares, defiant. Though her heart thunders with fear, and the sudden powerlessness of silence, she refuses to give Rhea the gratification of seeing it.
Unexpectedly, Rhea presses the button again, and something in Lena's throat tickles. She coughs, and her voice returns. Before she can form a single word, Rhea leans in close, her hand still on Lena's cheek.
"I would be very careful about what you say next," the Daxamite queen murmurs dangerously. "Or else you will find your life here far less pleasant."
Lena's jaw clenches, betraying her rage.
"Supergirl will stop you."
Rhea draws away, but her features remain smug.
"Supergirl has her hands full," she returns evenly.
She gives Lena a slow smirk.
"Even if she were inclined to save the woman who paved the way for Earth's first alien invasion."

A new chapter of the musketeer s2 re-write because I was that determined to update this at least twice this year.

And so the Dauphin was baptised as Louis-Dieudonné. The God-given. After years of hope, fears, and cruelty, Lord did not leave the most Christian monarchy.
Chapel watched the procession end, as gospels and prayers rang against snow-white columns. Monarchs came and went, the rites (first and last) identical to each one of them. The future King of France, baptised on the day when the sun was shining, was not exempt. Nothing changed there, stillness reverberated with the child’s cries and polyphonic hymns.
Cardinal Richelieu breathed out, such long-awaited christening finally over. He left with the rest of the spectators, out where things changed so rapidly.
Where the Kingdom of France was changing. As far as the First Minister of France was concerned, the monarchy would never stand still for it would only strive towards greatness.
