pretty underwhelmed with frankenstein in baghdad bro i'm a little sad

so my uni library has multiple saramago's books but in original portuguese. which i can't understand (honestly that's on me). but that's so cool? also kinda weird they don't have the english translation of them

sooooo. finished circe. here's what i thought, 2/3 of the books? almost losing the nerves. had to lie down and stare at the ceiling. mainly becauss some scene were kinda uh you know. continued the next day, it was going nicely. but, there is a tugging feelings i have no name of that something's missing? like when you know the ending is coming but instead of going up/down it's just, flat. i don't know, perhaps i was expecting too much?

But perhaps no parent could truly see their child. When we look we see only the mirror of our own faults.
