so I can only speak from an ignorant bystander’s perspective, as I’m able-bodied and don’t work in the medical field.

that said: it depends! if your thing isn’t urgent, folk with urgent stuff get seen before you. if your thing IS urgent, you get shuffled to the front.

like my sister’s rat slashed my wrist open as a kid, and I had to wait an hour-ish to be seen because it wasn't a dangerous wound. and I had a camp instructor bitch a bunch after she had to wait for a couple hours with a broken arm because, again, not life-threatening. but honestly, having to wait while people needing emergency care get helped first is like..........fine? 

in college I called an ambulance for myself because I thought my heart was failing (it was baby’s first Panic Attack and ended up being nbd), and because I described it as “potential heart attack" I had a whole team at my place quite quickly to attend to me. more recently I had a surprise burst of floaters in my eye, so was able to get an Emergency same-day appointment just in case my eye was exploding. priority care for priority issues, and none of this cost a cent!

our coronavirus response has also been alright - developed a cough last month, so I called my nearest testing facility, booked an appointment, walked in, got tested without waiting, had my negative result back within 24 hours.

I already did Silver so just Shadow here <3 Shadow is nonbinary and uses he/they/it/god/void pronouns. They don’t use labels for attraction but he likes men

I mean, I don’t see the difference? I don’t expect these cats to have the vocabulary to know the word “infertile” but that was still exactly what Yellowfang was implying

The way Yellowfang phrases all of this says pretty clearly to me that no matter how much Squirrelflight wants her own kits with Brambleclaw and tries to have them, she still won’t be able to. Which means she’s being told that she’s infertile.
