It was another night

A bittersweet one

Sweet for the rest I would have

Bitter from the fighting they don't expect me to hear

As I fell asleep

On a damp pillow

With choked tears choking me

And the darkness doing little to hide the monsters

I felt the darkness change

From complete

To one that rippled and flowed

With ivy greens, the pink of dusk, and blues of steady waves

All dancing across my eyelids like ribbons in the night sky

If felt the pillow turn to warm moss

That pulsed and shifted beneath me

Like a boat on calm seas

I heard the voices of pain fade

Replaced with a song of life

It's beat trees shifting

It's tune of birds and cicada

With a harmony of a bleeding soul dancing with love

Both crying in the distance

As I opened my eyes I saw her

A lady with a face like the sun

Her hair flowed and danced around the forrest where I lay

With ivy greens, the pink of dusk, and blues like steady waves

And I felt her

Her heartbeat pulsed through the ground

Each shift she took shifted the forest

She was a giant, the wide world fitted in her chest

And me, in her left palm surround for miles by forrest

Her head was turned

Facing to the bleeding soul as it sang

The soul sang of loss

Of loneliness

Of fighting

Of bittersweet nights on damp pillows

Smothered in darkness

It sang a song so close to mine

I was shocked it wasn't my voice I heard

Then she sang back

With her mouth like canyon

Her song had no words

Only a melody so pure and raw

It nearly hurt to hear

But the song wasn't of sadness

It was of love

Of hope

Of sweet without bitter

Of a world where pains pass like clouds

And where joy spreads like ivy

"Thank you" spoke the soul

When the lady had finished speaking

"But who are you?"

"I am love through fighting" she replied

Her voice rippling through me like steady waves

"I am life through loss,

I am hope through pain

I am here to make sure none who fall asleep tearful

Wake up the same"

As she said this the soul faded into twirling lights

The colour of ivy greens, the pink of dusk, and the blue of steady waves

And her head turned to her other hand

The one with forests and moss

And she smiled

For there was not a single bleeding soul to sing

I woke the next morning

To ribbons of light dancing across my eyes

Wrapped in warmth

My pillow dry

Knowing there is love through fighting

Knowing there is life through loss

Knowing there is hope through pain

Knowing I am never alone

Even If I lay in darkness

I doth go

Souls bounding through the forrest of death forever

As we run free we are chased

Some by wolves vicious

Some by foxes sly

Some by hounds quick

Eternally bounding

Eternally chased

No matter how fast

Now matter how slow

The jaws are always just behind

The barks are always booming in our ears

The challenges of live reflect in death

But is this heaven or hell?

The rabbit enjoys to bound

We live to flee

And that's when we feel most free

And alive

Is hell eternal suffering?

Or is it eternity with no life

No challenge

No chase

No bounding

Eternal rest

Eternal boredom

Eternal numbness

Is heaven perfection?

Bliss

Ease

Or is it the thrill of live

With all the close calls

With all the jaws

And the howls and barks

Born as such a simple thing

With no whistles or bells to ring

But with lips to smile

Legs to trip all a while

Eyes will cry

To fill the sky

With sounds of old newborn things

What things?

Perhaps now a bell to ring

A light bulb to light

A wrong to each right

A joy to every smile

A boredom to each while

A sadness to each cry

A wonder to each new sky

To fill with sounds of old new emotions

And so we set about the motions

Back and forth like the joyous ocean

Growing ever more and more

Like the tide creeping up the shore

Thinking feeling everyday

Like a kelp does dance and sway

Ever dancing for the watery wind of the sea

And as we think, and grow and sing

With whistles and bells to ring

We grow through pain

Dark spots in the sea, dark thoughts in our brain

To a higher lighter place

Never a need to fight or race

Just to dance our joyous pace

And to put a smile on our face

And as we dance

And grow

And smile

We find love and love a while

We grow in love like a coral reef
