Ryan Wayne White (December 6, 1971 – April 8, 1990) was an American teenager from Kokomo, Indiana, who became a national poster child for HIV/AIDS in the United States after his school barred him from attending classes following a diagnosis of AIDS.

Uh… no, they were not friends, and certainly not best friends. At most, they were acquaintances. They met a couple of times during 1990 and Trump went to Ryan White’s home with MJ. Michael stayed at Trump Tower in NY in the early 90’s to work on his HIStory album and to get away from the police in CA that were witch hunting him.

Trump was a known democrat back in those days, and was often trying to be chummy with any and every person in Hollywood, much like his pedo friend Epstein. But to claim Michael was besties with Trump? That’s ridiculous, considering Michael straight up called him a money hungry corrupt businessman who sells his soul in his song Money off of the HIStory album. He names Trump along with other corrupt men in history: Vanderbilt, Morgan, Trump, Rockefeller, Carnegie and Getty

Trump family members, particularly his kids, as well as Trump himself have been known to fabricate stories about having a close relationship with Jackson. Not only is there no corroborating evidence to prove these alleged meetings they supposedly had before the 90’s, but they also have lied and claimed they visited Michael’s ranch.

Jermaine, Michael’s older brother, has repeatedly called them and Trump out for these lies.

Michael was gracious and kind to everyone that were his fans. That doesn’t make him best friends with anyone, and Trump has been trying to act like he was friends with Jackson for years. Despite he himself admitting he only met him a handful of times, and despite the fact that regarding Michael’s own words in his music, he greatly disliked Trump and saw him in a very negative light once he had been living in his vicinity for some amount of time.

On April 6th of 1990, Michael Jackson was invited by Trump to his casino. Michael made an appearance and was flanked by tons of fans. While he was there visiting for a couple of days, he received news of Ryan White’s death. On April 8th, 1990 he visited White’s home with Trump in tow who flew with him as Michael was his “guest”. This is where the above photograph was taken. Trump did NOT attend Ryan White’s funeral with Michael Jackson.

This morning we said goodbye to Andrea Gibson. To say Andrea will be missed is an understatement. I don’t have the words, so I’ll just borrow Andrea’s. While we were shooting the the film, we followed the process of Andrea writing a new poem titled Death Anthem. (In the end, they retitled it Life Anthem)

Some words from that poem below: I will never deny how badly I want to live. I have a measly wrinkle collection compared to my dream goal. I would absolutely love to be a before-picture. This world looks at super models the way I now look at ninety year olds who have hair so silver they could tinsel their own trees, so many laugh lines their faces look like roadmaps to heaven. - But I did not meet this life until I met its brevity. Did not meet my voice until I knew every word could be my last. I did not know what prayer was until I started praying for what I already have. - When I speak of the sweetness of this life I don’t mean my butterflies never cry. I don’t mean my heartbeat never aches. I mean I am learning the infinite difference between saying “I fear death” and saying “death isn’t fair” if it finds me soon. A short life doesn’t always equate to a life cut short. A long life doesn’t always equate to a full one. - My life is so now full it is overflowing with how many beautiful things can be seen in a single second, how it is possible to blow up a second like a balloon and fit infinity inside of it, until I am bursting with laughter when anyone calls me an old soul because I can’t help but feel like this is my first time here marveling at the steam rising from a cup of coffee, or two wild geese stopping traffic as they mosey across the road, or my own breath and another birthday candle to celebrate the holiday of having a body.

His pallbearers included Elton John, one of the most famous musicians in the world, and Michael Jackson. The First Lady sat in the front row. The former president wrote a tribute that ran in the national papers.w

His name was Ryan White. At 13, he contracted HIV through a blood transfusion to treat his haemophilia, a blood disorder that prevents clotting. Doctors gave him six months. When he tried to go back to school, parents and teachers fought to ban him. Restaurants threw away his dishes. Church members refused to shake his hand.

He didn’t fight back. He educated. He went on national television and calmly explained how the virus actually worked. He changed more minds about the disease than any campaign or government programme at the time.

He lived five years longer than anyone expected. He passed away one month before his high school graduation.

Four months after his funeral, the United States Congress passed the Ryan White CARE Act. It became the largest federally funded programme for people living with HIV in the country’s history, and it still operates today, providing care to over 500,000 people every year.
