I. As a Necromancer, one must never apologize for being a Necromancer. What you do is your business, not that of any other. II. A Necromancer must take responsibility for their own actions, and deal with the punishment that comes of it. III. A Necromancer must never forget where their loyalties lay, first and foremost, with Death. IV. Expect isolation as a Necromancer and accept it. You will change as a person, no longer will you live in this agreed upon reality we have made. You will change what is and is not to suit your needs, that is to say that you will govern the reality around you.

V. A Necromancer must first gain a basic understanding of Magick, mysticism and the Occult. Without it you must only expect failure in Necromancy anything more is impossible.

Necromancers must accept three truths or “laws”:

1. One must never rape death. That is to say, that one must never force entry into her home. Never must one pry things from her grasp, those who are destined to die will die, regardless of human intervention.

2. One must not rape the dead. This rule is quite literal. Necrophilia is forbidden. The bodies of the dead are to be treated with the utmost respect.

Although they could be stated different, with more or less rules than the ones provided, the universal laws all agree on three things. 

I. Do not rape death. Forcing entry into her house, toying with the balance of life and death or abusing her power are all examples of this grotesque act.

II. Never interfere with the will of death. If someone is in deaths grasp we are not to intervene. She will reap her harvest one way or another, it is wrong to attempt to stop her.

Necromancy is the understanding and manipulation of death, its energies and the spirit.

I. A Necromancer must fully understand the nature of these things in order to work and bend them to their will. If you are expecting this post to explain them to you, you are mistaken. It is a journey you must travel alone, both in this existence and the next. 

II. Necromancers must embrace death as something not to be feared, but something to be respected. 

III. We must observe the interaction between this realm and that of the spirit and learn the causes and effects that result to and from these interactions.

The most powerful use for this knowledge is summoning and using spirits, beings beyond our power. They bring us closer to their realm with every call, slowly tugging at the ropes and drawing us further from life. This is the danger of Necromancy and it’s ultimate goal. To elaborate: Necromancy seeks power from death and spirits, the end goal for a Necromancer is to exist in this realm and the next simultaneously. To draw from the power that comes from death and apply it into this world to bend what is and what is not.

IV. Take responsibility for your actions, for everything you do will change the world around you. Inadvertently you are manipulating those around you, accept this. They are pawns, domino pieces that will fulfil their bit, which will lead to your desire or will to be done. An example?

A Necromancer wills for X. The Necromancer calls upon spirits and asks that they see it done, offering payment of course. The spirits on their plane of existance (being the spiritual plane) will begin to pull the strings. These strings will manipulate the people and world around the Necromancer and eventually will lead to X being fulfilled.

I. You must loose the fear of death. There is no way around it. If you fear death you will never be able to work with it. 

II. You must be willing to bleed and or handle blood. Blood is the most sacred of tools, it helps to create binds, attracts the dead, acts as an offering in many rituals, and symbolizes  your commitment to Necromancy.

III. You must be able to maintain a state of well-being. Mental and physical.

IV. You must accept the burdens of Necromancy. It’s toll on your health is small but will accumulate over time. You are spending energy and investing yourself in it constantly which ties back with the importance of number three.
