I must say that I’m sharing this mostly because I just want you to vote, for anyone. Not just in this category, but the whole poll. Your vote doesn’t have to be for me. I’m proud to be in the category but man, I’ve got at the very least a cool story or two about every name I’m next to on this list. They all inspire me to keep creating, putting in work, and making the hard every day decisions that enable me to live this dream. Things like this arent about competition, they’re about recognition. This is an opportunity for everyone, be it artists, businesses or whatever, to be presented to people who may not even know we exist. Or maybe they just needed to be reminded. Our community is far from perfect but this city is the source of so many incredible talents. While I and everyone else would like to win, in my opinion if you’re from this city and have come up around so many inspiring peers in your field, you’ve already won.
