Ruuth first snagged our hearts earlier this year with her gorgeous solo release All About, a crystalline electro-pop gem with honeyed vocals and spry, airy beats. On the back of her enchanting cameos on songs from the likes of Lucian and Christian Reindl, she quickly enamored us with her flickering future pop. The German singer songwriter now ravishes us with much of the same sparkling indie pop charm on new single So Heavy. Its a silvery and refined gem about emotional obstacles in a relationship. Her sweet, dulcet voice dances gracefully in a sea of sprightly beats and effervescent plinks. For a song about weighty struggles of the heart, So Heavy is such a light and aerated treat. The weekend is just around the corner so to get you out of your midday Thursday slump, take a listen to Lucian’s newest track “Down”, featuring Ruuth and Idrise. This lush track has lush r&b vocals and glitchy electronica to create the perfect blend of sound textures. The overall vibe of “Down” is perfect for a come down, it’s not overly intense and has just the right mood. Even though the song is just under 2.5 minutes, it’s the kind of song that you can put on loop and it’ll transition seamlessly for hours.

The lightly flickering future pop song is deservedly garnering a lot of love in the few days it’s been out. We already can’t wait for a next solo single from Ruuth.
