Popuri couldn’t help humming as Castanet appeared in the distance. It was Summer! The sun was shining and the sky was blue for miles. It was an absolutely wonderful day the whole ferry ride there but that’s not why the pinkette was so giddy.

Looking to her side, the blonde was smiling which made Popuri smile more than she was before. It had been quite some time since she and Ash had some alone time together. For the last couple of months, the two had started spending time together going back and forth from his home, to hers. Of course, that meant family was always around.

It was easy for her to get along with Ash’s mother but his younger sister... Well, sometimes it seemed like Cheryl was warming up to her but other times Popuri wasn’t so lucky. Of course, the pinkette was never one to give up! She was far too stubborn for that. It would just take a little time is all, but for the time being the two would get to be alone without having to stress.

*She attaches a finished note onto the hen, making sure not to tie the little rope too tightly around her neck. The pinkette makes sure she’s out of sight, not wanting to be noticed just yet. She brought her most trustworthy hen to help her with this today; something she’d been planning to do for quite a while. Popuri watched as Helen walked over to the rancher.*

*Along with the note was a little bag containing a single pink cookie (strawberry flavored; she was holding onto the bigger bag to give to him if this all went well). The hen pecked at the ground next to Ash and followed him around until he noticed her.*

*The note inside was written in cute handwriting, the I’s all dotted with hearts:

Dear Ash- I’m so sorry for being such a fowl friend. It’s been a while since I’ve flown the coop to come and see you. But we’re birds of a feather, right? I missed you a lot. Sorry I can’t say this to you face to face-- Sorry I’m such a chicken. Do you forgive me? I’ll say it in person if you do. ♡Popuri

[Alright so he wasn’t for the idea, although nor was he against this idea either. It was a half decent plan on how to get around his issue, plus he did get to take a pleasant trip to Bluebell -- which he hadn’t done in quite a while -- also he got to visit the equally pleasant blond whom lived in the residing ranch, whom he also hadn’t seen in quite a while.]

[The young man hopped over the fence and made his way into the barn, brightening up significantly upon spotting the boy he was looking for - bounding toward him with a wavering smile across his lips.] Ash! I need you to do me a favor -- or rather .. I just need to buy something from you. I guess it isn’t a favor in particular-- [Blinks, before shrugging off his own bit of confusion.]

It seemed like an unusually hot day as Clorica made her way over the mountain that separated Konohana from her destination, Bluebell.  Once she finally made it to the bottom, she had to stop for a few moments to catch her breath and wipe the sweat that had inevitably covered her forehead.

A few moments later and the woman continued on her way, walking into town and seeing quite a number of people busy with their daily lives.  Though most notably she spotted a man working hard with what seemed to be some very peculiar monsters.

[ He was always amazed at how well cared for the flowers in Bluebell were. Kam gives a little smile-- Rose was still looking after them with such care, it seems-- and he forgets that he’s been away for so long. Bluebell still felt like home, after all-- ]

[ But it’s not.  He had decided to travel around the world, learning about all kinds of flowers. ]

... I wonder if Ash’s tending to the animals at the moment, or if he’s playing with Cheryl...?

[ He speaks without even thinking. Ah, right. It wasn’t just Bluebell he had been missing that caused him to visit spontaneously. He missed the villagers, too. He turns away from the flowers. ]

[ And right into Ash, who it seems had approached him while he was in thought. While he was /talking about Ash/. Out loud, to himself. ]

...That answers my question.

Curled up in bed, the pinkette tries her best to go to sleep to no avail. She knows that he's leaving tomorrow first thing in the morning when sun comes up. It was the perfect time, he'd always say. She was doing so well, mostly avoiding him or occasionally saying hi. There was nothing substantial, really. Maybe that's why she had the crushing urge to go and see him, to hug him or kiss him on the cheek goodbye. Wouldn't it hurt more that way, though?

How could it possibly be so hard to forget a guy, to forget a crush. Popuri’s thoughts kept her awake, tossing and turning in her bed. Finally, after she couldn’t take the silence of her room or the voices in her head, she clicked on her phone. Her eyes squinted for a second before the brightness adjusted, reading the time once it did. It was nearly midnight... was it all right to call him? After thinking about it for a good while, staring at his contact information and his picture, she hit call.

For the first time in a while, Danny felt like he had a little bit of cash to spare. He couldn’t buy anything big of course, but he could afford to spend some money on a small gift. The real question was, what? Danny browsed bluebell, not really seeing anything that jumped out. Maybe he should just save the money and relax. Sighing, he stuck his hand into his pocket to grab the latest letter he’d gotten from home... only to find it wasn’t there.

“What the...” Danny searched it again, then his other pocket. Nothing. He looked around, but couldn’t find it. He’d read it before entering town, so it had to be around here somewhere. Out of concern, he flagged down the first person he saw.
