Added author meta tag
This meta tag will allow you to identify yourself as the author of your blog. Hereās how:
Go to the URL of your blog
Click on the āEdit appearanceā icon on the upper right corner of your blog
Youāll be taken to the theme customization page
Scroll down until you see the āBlog Author Nameā option (shown in the pic below) Ā
Just type your name, username, or whichever name you want the author of your blog to be known as, and youāre all set.
Minified CSS and Javascript
This will help make your blog load faster.
Used Web Font Loader for fonts
This will also help make your blog load faster. Previously, the fonts were loaded as a style sheet in the <head> part of the theme. With the Web Font Loader, the fonts are now loaded near the end of the <body> part of the theme, which could help increase page speed. You can find more info about this here.
Used lazysizes for images
lazysizes is a lazyloader for images. This will ensure that images will be loaded only when they are needed and not all at once, which will help make your blog load faster. You can find out more about lazysizes here.

Header
The Rustelia header is where the blog title is displayed. You can choose to:
Show or hide your blog title
Use either a header background color or image
Show some text below your blog title
Rustelia also includes a header widget, which you can choose to display right below the header background, blog title and tagline. You can add any text, HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc or whatever else you want to this widget so you can use it to display polls, ads and more. Ā
Sidebar
The Rustelia sidebar is in a fixed position for devices with large screens. A scroll bar (separate from the main scroll bar) will automatically show up if needed. The sidebar also includes:
A search bar
Menu links - this shows the pages of your blog and other links like the Ask, Submit, Archive, etc
Rotating social media follow buttons
Text widget - you can add any text you want
Featured tags list - you can display up to 5Ā
Links widget - this one opens in a modal. You can use this to share some text and up to 5 URL links to any site you want Ā
A sidebar widget - this feature is the same as the header widget but this one is located in the sidebar. You can also use this to display ads, polls, text, etc.Ā
An email subscription widget - this one uses Feedburner
A list of your Tumblr likes and follows
Blog title, description and avatar
You can choose to show or hide parts of your blogās sidebar. You can use either a sidebar background color or image. You can move the position of the sidebar to either the left or right side of the main posts. You can also completely hide the sidebar if you prefer.
Footer
The Rustelia footer has 2 columns. You can choose to show or hide one or both of these columns. You can put any text you want on these columns. Below the columns, you can see the copyrights and credits list. Your blog name/title will automatically be included in this section. You can set your own copyright year. You can also use either a background color or image for the footer background.Ā

Pagination
Rustelia offers two pagination methods:
Default Pagination
Jump Pagination
You can set the colors for either of these methods. You can also choose to use either a background color or image for the pagination background.
Meta
The Rustelia meta includes a lot of information. You can toggle many of these options on or off. If available, if turned on or if itās applicable, you can see the following info:
Post author
Date and time - this one includes a permalink URL to the post in question
Submission author
Post notes - the list of notes opens in a modal on the permalink page while the index page includes the number of notes a post has
Disqus comments - the main comments section appears on the permalink page while the number of comments that a post has is shown on the index page. You can also add your own comment heading and even some text (such as your blogās comment guidelines/policy), which will show up before the comments sectionĀ
Content and reblog sourcesĀ
Post tags
The index page will display the social media sharing buttons (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google+) and the Tumblr likes and reblog buttons below the post date and time
The permalink page will display the Tumblr likes and reblog buttons below the post date and time. The social media sharing buttons will be displayed in a fixed position floating format. These buttons will automatically show up when the user scrolls down the post in question.Ā
Main Posts
The main posts on Rustelia are displayed in a box. Some post types include a separate box that appears on top of the main post box. You can set the colors for all of these boxes. You can also select the font sizes for your posts as well as the font family.
Other/Miscellaneous
Rustelia has a lot of other features including:
A back to top button that only shows up when the user scrolls a bit down the page
Itās responsive and mobile-friendly
Photo and video posts are fully responsive
Pics and vids added to non-photo and non-video posts are also responsive
Cookie notice banner widget - makes it easier for you to comply with the EU cookie law as this widget displays a cookie notice in banner format on your blog. You can also use this widget to add a link to your own cookie or privacy policy
