rust and cole being childhood sweethearts warms my heart <3 (firmly believe cole was taller than rust for most of their childhood until rust’s growth spurt hit)
rust vance stalking through a burning mansion hunting his boyfriend’s piece of shit dad - you just don’t get hotter than that.
Having seen the Clown in a Cornfield movie with friends, I did like it but there are a few differences and my friends who haven't read the book had questions. I'm excited for you to read the book bc there are parts that might make more sense in the book. Still enjoyed the movie. Kinda wondering if they'll continue with the series.
i am just under 200 pages into the first book askjdhdfsgd (i did stay up late reading it))). it is SO FUN and a real breeze to get through. i do know they've approved the sequel movie and it should be out next year apparently??
the book has been really interesting! it was so nice to get to know the other kids better in the book (janet is so so fun omg). being able to read about what happened to cole's sister was heartbreaking knowing exactly where it was headed. i really enjoyed (of course) the difference with cole and rust. cole in the movie is almost antagonistic towards rust where in the book he's nearly throwing himself at rust?? propositions him right in front of quinn with one of their 'hunting trips' which immediately makes rust uncomfortable because he KNOWS exactly what cole is trying to do. i am curious if the book will say how/why they broke up in the first place.
(also, cole acts so different towards rust than with everyone else. he saw rust at the party and clamped onto the guy. it wasn't about 'being the leader' it was about getting rust to LOOK at him)
ANYHOW - i'm really enjoying the book so far! it's pretty different from the movie, but they're both fun in their own ways~
