Like, that Mafumafu thing from the other week was a really dumb controversy. Antis will always suck, and like we've seen many times in the past they'll seize on any opportunity to torment the talent, and given Rushia's struggles with mental health, it was really worrying to see, and we were at least relieved that Cover had her back.

But now she's gone all of a sudden, and she didn't decide to leave like Aloe or Coco. Apparently in dealing with that other thing, it was found out that she had been violating her contract by leaking company information to third parties, leading to her contract's termination?

Okay.

Look, I don't ever want to sound like a corporate shill, but I seriously doubt that Cover would let their highest superchat earner go unless they felt like they had no other choice, especially given the optics of the timing. A contract is a contract, I get that.

But man this sucks. Aloe left pretty early, Coco did so on very good terms, Hitomi Chris also left way before she could make any sort of impact, and the Chinese branch...is it's own thing. Rushia has been such an important part of the Hololive family for so long, that to have it suddenly end like this is just such a gutpunch.

Now, I'm not going to vilify any of the parties here (except maybe the Antis, because fuck'em): not Rushia, not Cover, not Mafumafu, not any of them. I don't know the nature of what she leaked and to who, I don't know why, and frankly it's none of my business. I'm just really worried about Rushia right now. She was already in a bad place because of the harassment, and this has got to just be a terrible time for her. I really hope she's got someone there to take care of her and keep an eye on her. I hope she can still remain friends with the other girls and they still support her, regardless of who was at fault. I hope this doesn't cause any of the more hotheaded talent to do anything rash. And I hope Mafumafu is okay, because fuck, he didn't do anything wrong, and he must feel awful.

It's just a wretched situation all around. And since Hololive has been a real escape for all of us through these last few shitty years, when they get hit by a bad controversy, it just makes it hurt more.

But mainly I just want Rushia to be okay.
