#rush mat

An ornate state bed with hangings and bedhead of great sophistication is set on a rush mat floor in a time-honoured way and enhanced by the subtle glazing and colouring of the panelled walls. The exquisitely figured table at the end of the bed is topped by a silver dressing-table set and the other handsome table in front of the window holds a fine collection of china.

This tablecloth has the top circle cut to fit exactly the surface of the table and the full skirts are gathered and then piped around the perimeter. The restrained geometric print is well offset by the rustic bowls and rush mats.
