I listened to this song for an entire night in the hot month of July in the summer of 2010, whilst crying for most of it, and when I wasn't, the heaviness in my chest just oppressed me even tighter. In that moment, I could relate completely to the lyrics in this song. I just wanted an escape from my current reality. I wanted an escape from the people making my life miserable and the overbearing situation I was in. I desperately wanted more than anything to leave everything and everyone behind and just be somewhere completely unknown to everyone around me. I wanted to leave without no one knowing where I was. I wanted to be but not be known.
Eventually I was given my escape but not in the way I expected. Some were taken out of my life, and others were brought in and finally the overbearing walls selfishly guarding my heart have been crumbling, and its so freeing.
