Okay, so, my Runner Five. I'm not so good with Tumblr and I can't draw to save my life so it's just gonna be words, but let's give this a shot.
My Five is a New Yorker (from the Adirondacks, NOT the city!) in her early 30s, very petite, looks skinny but has surprising muscle strength for her size. She keeps her hair at a buzz cut and rarely looks in a mirror; she doesn't like her appearance, but stopped caring about it a long time ago. As long as she's clean.
She knows how to use her body to fight and defend, having taken Filipino martial arts for a few semesters in college and a few self defense classes.
Bisexual, but not really interested in relationships or sex anymore. Although she's actually touch starved, it takes her a long time for her to accept affection from anyone.
She has a c section scar. She does her best to hide it and has never spoken about it to anyone but Sara, and that was limited to five words.
Big Star Wars fan. Honestly, only the question "what would General Organa Solo do?" keeps her going some days.
Protective and A N G E R Y. Wants to fight anyone who even looks at Sam, Maxine, or any of her friends the wrong way. Especially aggressive when terrified, which she won't admit (even to herself) is quite often. Some residents of Abel think it's funny because she's too small but wouldn't dare tell her to her face. She fights *dirty.* Sam worries she's going to get herself killed picking a fight with someone twice her size, but it's not like she goes looking for trouble. It just finds her.
Thinks she's tough. Actually ridiculously sensitive. Full of love she doesn't know how to show because it makes her feel too vulnerable. Easily hurt, but hides it well.
Selfish sometimes; likes to be alone so she doesn't have to feel obligated to anyone. Big misanthropic moods, uses humor as a coping mechanism.
Gives backrubs when she's drunk and is REALLY good at it.
Nearly fluent in Spanish.
Laments the extinction of many favorite foods. She and Eugene once cried together in the rec room in grief for the loss of maple syrup.
