2017-03-27 Back to Normal - Huangxing Park Finally, it is a photo captured on a drone. Ok, I know the demand for aerial photo is very solid. I know it. So, as you can see it, the regular posting is recovered. Meanwhile, the aerial photo will also be posted more often. Well, let me add some description to this photo. The park is called 'Huangxin Park'. Huangxing is a name of a famous politician (1874-1916) in China. He is one of the creator of Republic of China (ROC) which is actually the name of Taiwan. So, there is a strong disagreement between mainland China and Taiwan (which is ROC). But, actually, it is very simple. It was a war between the ruling party and revolutionary party. The ruling party was defeated and they passively moved to Taiwan to maintain its existence. Nowadays, the conflict becomes a kind of dispute between two ideologies. But, let's move back to our picture. My drone is still DJI Phantom 4. The air was hazy and I used heavy correction to retain its clarity. The park is free and the most attractive activity is to shortly rent a boat to take a rest on the lake in the park. The lake is man-made but it does not matter as long as it is clean. Apart from the lake, you can also hide yourself in the little forest from the busy city. There are many trees there. It looks like a small forest in a modern city. I like to visit parks. There are roughly 40 to 50 parks in Shanghai and I have already visited maybe 15 of them. This weekend, I am going to visit another one. Oh! Guys, almost forgot. Qingming Festival (or Tomb-sweeping Festival) is on the 4th of April. It is a festival for Chinese people to visit the graves or burial grounds of their ancestors. In China, this Saturday is a working day because it will be holiday on next Monday and Tuesday. I will give you guys some description and original photos about this tradition.
