Fire Escape (TwistedTale)
Grillby was an inferno for a long time. One of fire and such maddening pain that he was forced to close the bar for an extended period. At first, he thought it was his magic acting out, that maybe he had become so accustomed to just idling around with patrons that some sort of buildup occurred that needed release. So... he released. He let it all out in the deeper parts of Snowdin, where no one would question the melted snow and charred ground.
Then- all at once- he was snuffed out.
It took him a week to get back to the bar he called home, bits and pieces oh himself leaving a trail of ash in his wake. But eventually he found his way there. Placing a closed sign at the window (what he didn’t know was) for good.
It changes, constantly, from ash and dust to searing pain as the flames burst forth, licking at anyone who dares to come to close. Always a rush to get to it out out out as he scrambles back to the clearing. Forgetting, in all his pain, how the next struggle to get back home will take twice as long. (Hoping that maybe this time he won’t make it back)
