The friendly, rustic beast person Ruhm is one of Van Fanel's companions in his native land of Fanelia in the anime series Vision of Escaflowne. Ruhm has a strong connection to forests and the natural world. I'm not sure what mammal species Ruhm is supposed to resemble, but it may be a wolf or a bear.
