LUNAR, NOVA and ORION for Bellaia and Vycross?
Thank you so much for the ask!! I love getting the chance to talk about Bellaia and Vycross. Their characters actually kicked off the entire idea of King of Seasons
LUNAR - How often do they get lost in thought?
Bellaia only gets lost in thought when she is working on a project or is sketching up a design for a new dress. She takes her craft of dress making and tailoring very seriously.
Vycross prides himself on being observant and aware. It's kept him and the people of the monastery he's in charge of alive. The only time he gets lost in thought is when his paranoia gets the best of him. His father's presence is creeping closer to his home, and he knows he's the only one who can stop it. Not the mention the raids by the Springwood bandits place his people under attack.
NOVA - How is their relationship with their parents?
Bellaia never knew her father growing up, but she was raised by her mother and her maternal grandparents. Her family instilled her love of learning and knowledge, and her mother taught her how to sew. When she was 8, her grandparents left for their pilgrimage to find the lost Cosmic tree, and she and her mother left to try to find her father and explain Bellaia's strange magic. As they journeyed deeper into the Northern Wynds, they were separated when Joutnn attacked the traveling party. Bellaia has not seen her mother since, but she hopes she is safe somewhere out there.
Vycross despises his father, the Prince of Petals, the fae prince of the Spring court. He hates his father's cruelty, his curse of vines slowly encircling his body, and how his father has been terrorizing the roads leading up to the monastery Vycross calls home. He recalls his mother risking her life and losing it to help him to escape the Prince's court.
ORION - Who/what do they go to for comfort?
Bellaia has few people she can turn to for comfort. Her mentor figure back in her old home as well as her former fiancé were there for her for comfort. Now she has her friendship with Charithi to lean on as well as her art and sewing.
For Vycross the pressures of being high speaker of the monastery weigh heavily on him. The others obey his commands, but he is not well liked due to his reclusive nature and paranoia. He turns to the one person more reclusive than he is to talk, Ruethai Penyang. Ruethai keeps to herself, but she is willing to lend a listening ear to Vycross and the two have formed a friendship. He feels safe to talk about the issues troubling him and she feels safe to tell him about her past.
Thank you again! These asks were from the night sky addition of OC asks.
