Craziness this past Sunday! All of a sudden I heard sirens close by and saw a fire truck had parked on my street. Weird. Then the police showed up and blocked the street with tape. Double weird. It wasn’t clear for a while what had happened but apparently a piece of the concrete exterior of my building had come crashing down on a car. (To pretty shocking results I might add.) The fire department spent a good amount of time checking every section of the building to see if any pieces were loose before blocking off the entire sidewalk except for the entryways.
It’ll be interesting to see how quickly and in what manner this is resolved. According to my neighbor our building has been setting aside money for years to correct the issue. For now I’m ducking my head and doing my before and after running stretching on the other side of the street. 😳
