ruby yew is not for the faint of heart. for the last four years she has lived off the land-- her current campsite is next to an active volcano. dating prospects around active volcanoes are...slim. ruby wants a life partner who can keep up with her explosive (heh) lifestyle.
so the natural next step was to trick six sexy singles into competing for her affections on national tv! for the duration of the challenge, ruby and the potential lovers will camp out on a private island. and by “camp,” i mean camp. each competitor will be expected to fulfill their fair share of chores-- cleaning, cooking, laundry, fishing, gardening, repairing all of the things that will inevitably break...and so on. with so much work to do, will the sexy singles have time to find.....love?!?!?!?

contestant requirements:
1. diverse sims are highly preferred-- ethnicity, gender identity, body shape, etc etc etc. i love sims that feel real! bonus points for identifying any quirks or oddities that can be used as a storyline in the challenge. give them negative traits, give them weird hobbies..whateva
2. cc can definitely be used but please try to keep it somewhat minimal/be okay with the fact that i will add/change outfits and may potentially swap skin overlays to match my game. please list cc used thank yewwww
3. must include tray files, sorry if that’s a problem! you do not/should not include the cc used. i do not have access to the gallery :(
4. you don’t have to give your sim skills, but please give me a general idea of their talents and interests so i can assign them skills accordingly!!
5. occults are okay, but ruby IS afraid of two kinds of occults so it’s like russian roulette.

basic rules of challenge:
1. each cycle will last 3 days. i will aim to go on at least one solo date and one group date during each cycle. the “rose ceremony” happens on the night of the third day. one contestant will be eliminated during each rose ceremony.
2. eliminations are entirely vibe-based. i will take into account ruby’s relationship with the sim/the sim’s relationships with the competition, their attraction/general affinity, and the events of their dates. i’m going to try to let autonomy take over as much as possible, so i’m going to take special note of their autonomous interactions.
3. solo dates may be chosen at random or (more likely) as a prize for winning a competition. competitions will be based games as well as homesteading tasks, like...who can harvest honey without angering the bees. and so on. the sims will remain at camp during the entire challenge, but dates will take place off the lot.
4. i reserve the right to create more rules as needed HAHA

Estrella has had a rough couple years along with the rest of us. She was laid off her fancy corporate job in Del Sol Valley, her fiancé left her, and her beloved grandfather passed. Her grandfather raised her so his passing was extra tough for her to grieve on top of the existing tornado tearing through her personal life. She didn’t receive much of an inheritance upon his passing, but he did leave her a tiny little shack way out in Sulani that’s been in the family for years. It’s almost like he knew Estrella would need somewhere to escape to. After the funeral, Estrella used the last simoleons she had to her name to book a flight to the island with nothing but a backpack of clothes and zero knowledge on how she’d survive out there, but excited to learn more about her roots and most importantly, herself. After a few months on the island she really started getting into the swing of things. She learned to fish, cook, and repair various things around the shack. She’s no pro but she’s getting by and feels like island living is coming so naturally to her. She does feel like she’s going a bit stir crazy alone in that shack so often, so she makes it a priority to spend time at the market to shop & mingle with the locals. On one of her market runs, Estrella heard some buzz about a reality network setting up a lot for some sort of dating show, and she knew right then and there she had to sign up. She’s come so far in Sulani in finding herself, it would only seem fitting she’d also find love here as well, even if it was on some wild reality show.

While pleased with his path in life, Miguel has spent many years in Selvadorada and is now yearning for a new thrill. After seeing an ad for a different type of dating show, Miguel decided to ignore his social fears and applied. After a surprise and devastating Monsoon swept his wife Liliana who was in severe labor on the beach as they waited for the coastal helicopter/boat to rescue them during a quiet beach walk on Mui Pua.
Now all that's left is 2 marked memorial stone graves left where he last saw his wife. Some say he's still lucky to be alive after rescuse patrol found him stranded in a abnormally shaped coconut tree trunk but unconscious.
For nearly 5 years all Makoa could do is search the waters and nearby islands for anything left of his wife. Hope diminishing with each search until he was finally persuaded by Duane and the Island Elders that enough was enough and he needed to look after himself as he had concernedly lost much weight and he looked ill.
So Duane and Makoa went on a boating trip around the equator, making pit stops to different places and trying new foods etc and healed over time with his grief. When they returned back to Sulani Makoa decided to leave his old home and with Duane by his side as his only family left (Liliana and Makoa adopted him when Duane was 10) and moved into an old beach shack on Mua Pua Retreat that student conservatists stayed during the long months if they didn't have any other place to stay and though it was in bad shape they both soon over time began to rebuild their lives with each new day as they lived off the land.
After Duane graduated High School and left for University, the loneliness was hard to absorb on how empty his life felt with noone to love or the pitter patter of tiny feet. So one night after a fun drunken night of dancing with his old pal's stumbled into the windy Autumn early morning, looking both way's before heading to the boating dock only for the wind to blow and clamp a flyer to his face. Being still foolishly drunk only half read the flyer of some hot chick looking for a bunch of sims -- decided to apply -- when he could sit down in his canoe -- which he did and press sent as his canoe sail pulled them out of the bay and towards Mua Pua.

You could say they're a bit... Odd. They're head always seems to be up in the clouds, and they have a bad habit of talking to themself. Lona has always preferred the company of books to the company of others. It has been difficult to make new connections, and she is looking to find someone who can accept her for who she is. She hasn't made her way to Sulani yet, and she's willing to try something new, even being a contestant on a dating show.
Growing up in the spice district of San Myshuno meant that she was surrounded by numerous cultures and great food during her childhood and adolescence. Driven by her greatest loves (good food, good books, and beautiful pictures) Lona runs a travel blog in the hopes of experiencing as much of the world as she can.
