#ruby weapon au

Allowed to behave as a normal child by the Flare leader Lysandre, the Ruby weapon becomes extremely loyal. Whether he understands that Flare is evil and doesn’t care or simply believes everything Lysandre tells him is unknown, but either way he is incredibly loyal to his new caretaker for what he’s given him. He uses all his powers to help in any way that he can.

On bent of being a clone and highly over educated, he speaks and reads at a much higher grade level than his age would indicate. But because of his isolation, he is very much shy around new people if Lysandre doesn’t introduce them first. And doesn’t understand many social rules. He is also small for his age, making him seem even younger.

Additional notes:  He’s from a Final Fantasy Universe, and has got all the final fantasy powers that Ardyn has in 15, minus the stuff because he’s (canon ardyn) scourged up. This includes healing, shields, invisibility, fire, ice, lighting, various status effects like poison, a teleport like ability to warp when throwing an object, the ability to create healing items like potions from regular drinks, and the Armiger, which stores items and weapons.  Since he’s a child some are more potent or controlled than others. He may accidentally poison you with a status booster for instance. Or shock you because he is scared or excited. 

He doesn’t have a name yet, though he knows his project identification is Ruby Weapon. theoretically he should have a name when he meets other people in Kalos, but me and @pulchramundii  haven’t decided on it yet XD 

He has medical scars and a barcode tattoo. And is pretty terrified of scientists and medical labs. Though he’ll submit to tests for Lysandre so he’ll continue earning the treatment he’s getting from the duke. 

Extra number 4, Pelna and Ruby!  @gingersmiith’s  Pelna is from Niflheim originally. So he and ruby share a first language! They will often talk in it together. 

Ardyn’s main verse knows every modern language on Eos, and several dead ones. He also speaks the Astrals tongue, due to frequent arguments with Bahamut. Unplaceable accent.

Modern Kid and Prince Arctus speak Altissian (spanish and italian), Lucian (english and in Insomnia some japanese) and Tenebraen (french), though Arctus is more fluent than Kiddyn. And Modern Kid has a noticeable accent when he speaks Lucian, while Arctus just sounds more formal. Like regis or ignis.

"Now--" He wheezed as he moved to cup Ruby close to him, bringing his son forehead to forehead, as though willing to pass something through their touch alone. "--now I need you to promise me something." He swallowed as he opened his eyes, locking his blue gaze into his son's amber ones. "I need you to promise you will not mourn me. Place me in the earth and leave me be, but do not mourn me. This is yours now. Finish what I started, my boy."

He pulled away as he cupped his hand into his son's own, his final breath leaving him.

"Flare is yours, now. "

“I promise father. I love you,” The young man answered, face stoic though tears pricked at his eyes. 

He placed on last kiss to his father’s hand, before standing and straightening black clothes. He nodded to a flare member, and knew they would prepare the body to be buried in an unmarked grave upon the grounds. Now he had a mission to attend to, though it was not likely what the General wished.
