When I decided to go back natural couple of years ago after seeing that beautiful older lady's very unique twists on the street, lots of things started changing in my life. I remember asking @claraluce5 on her page @beltetgrenn endlessly questions on how I could take good care of my hair. Also remembered researching pictures of black natural hair women, followed many Youtube vloggers, created a tumblr and pinterest account to expand my reasearch (lol) and so on. Later on I went to a hairsalon not too far from my house with an old friend who helped me with products choices. I remember putting so much, ya so much energy on my hair that it turns into a lifestyle. From the way I eat, to what I put on my skin, to the songs I listen to, and the way my style and view on this world and myself was shaping. Ah! It's funny how small changes lead to bigger purpose. I was growing, and consciously expanding, which led me couple years later to cut my them, my hair, one of the hardest things to do for me at that time. It was not until I cut my them that I was fully aware of the true essence of myself. I stood in front of the mirror filled with so much tears of joy, love and humility, because the day I woke up and stepped my feet in that barbershop, was the day I broke up with my conformity with society, was the day I said goodbye to my fear, the labels and a woman's "codes". I opened my soul for new growth, and experiences. When my hair grew back, not only that they were growing fuller, darker & stronger but the curl patterns changed and got tighter. Yet wasn't using all these other products or anything but water and coconut oil, which pretty much brought my ego down just to realize the power of letting yourself flow with no regulations and expectationsomething that they never taught us about. I realize that life is infinite and not meant to be understood, that beauty is everywhere and can never be defines for it is many shapes, dimensions and figures.
