RSS holds a narrow range despite latest dip
RSS has eased modestly in Mumbai after holding around Rs 240/kg through most of the latest week. The market closed at Rs 238/kg on 14 August, down Rs 2/kg from 7 August. Indian RSS prices have therefore remained within a narrow recent band, with the fortnight comparison also showing a Rs 2/kg decline from Rs 240/kg on 31 July.
The monthly comparison is slightly firmer, with prices Rs 3/kg above Rs 235/kg on 14 July. The three-month reference is weaker by Rs 12/kg from Rs 250/kg on 14 May, while the six-month comparison remains considerably stronger at Rs 88/kg above Rs 150/kg on 11 February. The year-on-year comparison is also higher by Rs 83/kg from Rs 155/kg on 14 August 2025. Monthly trading has ranged from Rs 235/kg to Rs 242/kg.
For buyers following RSS prices in India, the latest Rs 238/kg reading remains between the recent support and resistance references. Rs 235/kg marks the lower support point, while Rs 242/kg remains the recent high and resistance reference. The current move is limited and does not alter the broader range visible in recent Mumbai trading. The market continues to provide a relatively clear short-term reference for procurement discussions. The latest decline follows several days of stability, leaving the current level closer to the middle of the recent monthly range than either end overall.
