With the exception of a few isolated incidences of law and order disruption, Justice GK Ilanthiraiyan noted that after reading the sealed-cover intelligence report submitted by the Tamil Nadu police on Thursday, he came to the conclusion that there were no obvious security concerns in the State. The TN police claimed that the Popular Front of India's ban had created problems with peace and order. The TN police had earlier denied the RSS permission to hold such a march on October 2. Only three of the 50 locations could be approved, according to the State's announcement on Thursday, due to the security risks associated with the Coimbatore vehicle blast and the persistently dangerous weather conditions in the state.
