"Me, or her," Reb looked down at the baby in her arms before looking back up at Remy, a smile on her face. They'd been home for a few weeks now, settling in and bonding with the baby, and they'd both found it next to impossible to look away from her. "Come here. We both want you to hold us."

Reb has a very neutral relationship with gender. While she uses she/her because it's easier in her line of work, she doesn't really identify strictly as a woman. If anything, Reb would tell you that she's more nonbinary than anything, but that the people of Durant are unlikely to understand how that's possible, and honestly she'd rather be taken seriously for her job than spend her entire life justifying her gender expression.
