“Shit, Blast, Buggering Fuck, Damn!” Amelia let her voice carry, to the dismay of the handful of younger students milling about the side of the pond that she was currently occupying, throwing stones with all of her might into the water-- the thwacking sound soothing the rage that she felt in her. An Acceptable? Binns had given her an... Acceptable? She’d labored over the bloody fucking Gblin Wars essay for two weeks, constantly editing and rewriting it-- the delivery felt like a blow to her stomach and after receiving it she nearly stormed out of the classroom on sight. 

But she didn’t. She suffered through it, and then suffered through a lunch where she refused to speak to anyone for five minutes, only long enough to grab toast and a glass of pumpkin juice muttering a “See you later” before she huffed out of the Hall and came here, where every bad grade she ever got could be pounded into the water until her arm was sore and she felt marginally better. 

She picked up another rock now, too large to get more than half a meter or so, when she felt an arm on her arm, pulling it back. 

Gotta get back to Hogwarts, gotta get back to school...

Ever wondered who your muse was in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts? Now is your chance to explore who your muse used to be! For the next two weeks, starting on Friday May 29th all players are required to create and/or participate in a thread regarding their character’s school days at Hogwarts! 

See below for a breakdown of when your muse would’ve been in school-in an effort to ensure that only plausibly canonical interactions take place, please ensure each thread has the grade level and year in the title. Ex. “Year 7-1977″ 

The threads can happen at any time during the year just note that a typical Hogwarts year spans September to June. Keep in mind that if your character is born after September 1st, they will be in the class ‘after’ their peers. I.e. Someone born in November 1951 would graduate in 1968, but someone born in July 1951 would graduate in 1967. See table below for more details!

Threads can be anything related to Hogwarts! Classes, exams, Quidditch, parties, holidays, Hogsmeade, feasts-the possibilities stretch as far as your imagination. Of course, use your discretion regarding read-mores; keep in mind that for the purposes of this event, your characters are minors and act accordingly. Typical rules of the group still apply! Para threads are encouraged over gifs (esp. for characters that are now well out of their teenage years) but both are acceptable.

Prompts, sentence starters and ideas are available upon request!

This event is both meant to be fun and to be a chance to really explore and get a feel for your character’s background, which is incredibly important and can be built into your characters’ daily threads in the “present”. Threads not a part of the event can (and should) still continue, but please make time to explore the past with the group!

“And what do I owe the pleasure of your company?” Regulus looks up from his glass, slightly tipsy already, with a slight smile on his lips.

He’s not entirely sure why he’s at work without his clothes on, but Benjy doesn’t entirely mind. And if he’s being honest with himself, it’s not entirely out of character. Besides, it’s not exactly a stressful situation. No one else is around and there’s something surprisingly freeing about being nude at the office and alone. 

Or at least he thinks he’s alone.

Benjy hears a door slam somewhere down the hall away from his cubicle and peeks his head around the corner to look in the direction of the sound.

The reception is in full swing and yet Maya still sits at the head table, doing little to hide her boredom. Archie still hadn’t made his way over to her yet-she could see him now, yucking it up with some old couple who look half way dead. Maya rolls her eyes and keeps scanning the room. Narcissa, beautiful as ever, being twirled around deftly by Lucius, who doesn’t look totally atrocious for his credit. Instinctively, she begins to scan the corners and along the walls and she finds his hulking figure soon enough. 

Cassiel is a piss poor candidate for gate crashing-he was less than inconspicuous to begin with, towering over most people, and now he’s added those ridiculous tattoos to his neck. The scars from Maya’s flames have been turned into freakishly real scales-not unlike those on that stupid snake he loves so much that’s probably in the pocket of his dress robes as they speak. A red eye magically enchanted to move around rests above the scales on his right side-though Maya isn’t entirely sure he can’t see out of the damn thing. The jacket on his dress robes has a ridiculously high collar-Maya’s assuming its in place in an attempt to at least make himself somewhat presentable, but she hates it. She hates it almost as much as she hates the thrill that runs through her when he catches her staring and winks at her. She feels him pressing to get into her thoughts and she relents. 

You look like a total and absolute wanker.

He gives her a look and cocks his head to the side slightly, indicating the completely empty table around her. Maya doesn’t need his freakish powers to understand what he means. Right back at you.

Shut the fuck up.

He smirks back at her before grabbing a cup of shrimp cocktail off of a passing tray. Maya watches in disgust as he starts to eat the shrimp in one bite, tails and all.

“Archibald!”

Maya’s voice soars above the music, causing everyone in the room to look at her as she stands-almost as if that was her intention. She throws her husband an adoring smile that widens when she feels Cass’s eyes burning into her.

“Dance with me, my love? I simply adore this song.”

An extra punch of her seduction powers have the poor bastard practically tripping over himself to take her in his arms. It’s getting boring-how easy it all is. And there are few things in this world that Maya hates more than boredom

“Oh god what are you wearing?” she almost chokes on her wine as Ed passes by her. “Did Ella make you wear that for a dare?”

“I didn’t expect to see you here?” she smiles at him lifting her glass to her lips again. “Where is Ella?“

Regulus didn’t like these fancy pureblood affairs.  Yes, he was happy for his favorite cousin, but she was the only person in the room that he actually cared about.  So there he stood, in the corner, watching everyone dance at the reception.  

No one had asked him to dance.  He did know the basics, but the empty gaze on his face probably made him quite unapproachable.  That was what he was going for.  He was quite sure his mother was somewhere in the mass of people trying to find him a suitable girl to dance with.

He almost didn’t notice someone approaching.  After a few moments of silence, he turned to look at the person who dared to invade his little bubble.  “Can I help you?”

It was snowing. 

She wasn’t sure if the thought made her happy or sad-- the Romantic in her (who was usually quiet) thought that it made for an idyllic scene, but the Realist (who always had a bit more to say) could only think about how any chance of walking outside together might be dashed. Amelia hoped, quietly, that he wouldn’t object. 

Did they say they would meet at eleven? For all the conversations they had Amelia couldn’t remember and was now standing outside, robes wrapped around her, wondering if she might be standing here for another.... twenty seven minutes if she’d actually gotten the time wrong. She tried to soothe the small bit of anxiety that bloomed in her by turning away from the castle and watching as the first flecks of snow started their descent into the many trees in the hillside.
