Tips for staying motivated to a blog and muses, especially a multi? I lose motivation relatively quickly, especially if I have little interactions and now I'm stuck feeling lost. Because part of me kind of wants to create a new blog, but then I feel like I'll lose motivation and then the 3+ hours of work I'll be putting into it would be for nothing.

One thing that I enjoy about multi-blogs is that it allows a role player to be able to explore and portray different types of muses on one account. I understand that muns have busy schedules and real life obligations that can keep them from being 10/10 in activity, so managing a multi-blog or a Ā 1 x 1 account sometimes works bests depending on oneās preference.
Here are some tips that Iāve learned from personalĀ experience:
Try not to get too ambitious with the # of active musesā You may be comfortable managing more than 3 muses on one account, but others may be intimidated or uncomfortable with it. Try to limit how many active muses you have on one account.
Do not toĀ take on more muses than you can handle!ā When inspiration strikes for a muse with the perfect plot and face claim I know how easy it is to make a blog for them and then a few days later lose that idea. Instead, make a note of it and see how you can progress their character development and if you want to continue it!
Do you want to have a multi-muse blog or a 1 x 1ā The difference between the two is simple. A multi-muse blog usually means that you will be roleplaying all of your muses on that one account. A 1 x 1 blog means you will have active and inactive muses. You can make a sideblog from that 1 x 1. That way, interactionsĀ donāt get jumbled up in a mess.
Manage your muse count based on activity levelā If you sudden lost muse or interest for a muse, label them inactive or place them on indefinite hiatus. Thereās no need to hoard characters on a blog when you have no intention of active roleplaying them.
Thereās nothing wrong in dropping a character or plotā Every roleplayer can relate to having a busy schedule and lack of muse. A writers block is a common thing, so if you feel like a character is going no where or itās unbearably slow (even if youāre attached to them)Ā put them on hiatus or label them inactive.
Gain interactions by promoting your character(s)ā When you have multiple characters on one blog, some people roleplayers get confused as to who is who and what is what. Make a promo post to advertise your character with important links like their about, relevant links, and etc so others can get to know your muse!
Chin up, buttercup; remember to have fun!ā I know itās hard sometimes being a multi-blog, but try not to be discouraged by the little interactions you may get. Like I said before, each roleplayer has their own personalĀ preference. So long as youāre having fun with your writing and your characters, thatās all that matters.
