Things hadn't changed much. Negative energy was still radiating and though he was still wary, Kein felt wonderfully energized. It wasn't often such a large amount of negative energy came about like this, and the wraith was enjoying every moment of it.
But then, in an instant, everything changed.
Suddenly there was a burst of power and energy, so much so, it scared off the few noodlegeists that had remained nearby and even sent those crowded 'round the wraith into scrambling into hiding. The little spirits simply couldn't handle the influx of pure, natural energy.
As for Kein, the wraith was caught completely off guard by how quickly it happened. The pure, natural energy now emanating from the town, practically overriding the negative energy, made the wraith stumble and snarl. It felt like his whole body was getting pins and needles, and it tingled in a very unpleasant way throughout; to a point the wraith lost his control on the human form he'd been using, returning to his skeletal ghost form.
The fucking hell happened?! What the fuck had caused this?! H҉ow daré i̧t͞ ̸ru͟i҉n ̵a͘ll͢ t͡ha̶t ҉glo͏ri͝ǫu̶s҉ n̷egàti͏ve e̸n͢e̷r͞g̴y̷.
Frustrated and pissed, with a small roar the wraith's rage boiled over. His body burst into a ball of blue fire as Kein used his own energy to stave off the now radiating natural energy. It certainly helped stop that awful pins and needles feeling, but a faint tingling still lingered, further angering the blue ghost.
He wouldn't be able to keep this up forever, just long enough for him to try and make sense of the swiftly changing situation.
