First off: faer eyes. If you notice his pupils are more grey than the deep blue (almost black) they were, that's because of the lack of magic, if he at some point got magic exhaustion in the past it would just have become a little pale and less shiny, now it's just plain grey

Hair is longer as a hylian because he barely used to cut it as a fairy, the only reason that it's not longer is that fae used thread magic to just. change the length of faer hair, which at least stopped it from keep growing until now. He did this mostly to practice, aaand that it was hard to find fairy-sized scissors

Clothes seem a lot bigger than how they looked when he was a fairy, that's because these were modified with thread magic too, and not only them, he also used thread magic to modify faer height and size and make faerself look a little more taller

As a hylian he... Didn't grew up a lot, mostly because of faer poor diet and that as a fairy he barely ate anything, only surviving by pure spite and magic (How's he still alive? I dunno being the child of a great fairy must have helped, either that or the hero spirit) That's also why he looks thin, not near deathly thin at least (Thanks to the food that he had been eating recently) but if someone came to just. pick faer up. they wouldn't struggle at all

Barefoot because shoes/boots now are such a weird concept for faer, being stuck as a fairy for 6 years and only having weird bug feet had consequences and those are that otherwise he will get too weirded out and not feel confident enough to walk around without losing balance, aaand that it would feel weird not having direct contact with the ground anymore, think about those cat with socks or mini shoes, he would just flop on the floor

He has the ring that Logos/Red (@/literal-legend-rabbit) gave him for being able to see and enter faer hole (now a whole room but fae likes to still call it a hole)

Gets to keep the sharp teeth, that's a trait that got passed to faer hylian form from being a fairy for so long (it's not an excuse to make him still threaten others to bite them nooo shhh) they're not as sharp as they would be when he's a fairy, but the intention is still there

The scar on faer cheek was made by Kheel (@/therealkheel) when she almost squished him to death :D

Faer whole left arm is covered in burn scars, there are also other injures in faer elbow (a dislocated bone that healed wrong for example, a stab) his left side and tight have burn scars too, less damage done there though, the worse parts are the elbow and wrist (this one at least is easier to move, but starts to be hell to use faer hand after a while) There's also a scar of a really deep cut close to faer left shoulder, the cut didn't touch bone but it sure gets itchy (and sometimes gets a little of phantom pain)

Okay finally adressing the most important details and that are kinda lore relevant: first, why so many changes from fairy form that were modified with thread magic and then reverted? wasn't thread magic impossible to revert without more thread magic or whatever that those potions that Red was making were? Well dear person who's reading my yapping, as I have said a couple of times before and even evil Fairy admited in some occasions, fae wasn't that skilled with thread magic as fae made it look like. The only thing that he managed to make permanent were light changes like his height, the clothes, hair, hiding faer scars and when he changed things/living beings. Why the changes that fae did to faerself not stay when fae turned hylian? Because even if those stayed when he was a fairy, they were unstable anyways and could revert at any moment, if he turned back into a fairy right now the changes he did wouldn't be there. He also used to "fix" faer injury on his elbow, but it only lasted for a while, he had to constanly fix it because with time the changes wore off and the pain came back, and fixing it was painful, in fact any change he did to faerself was painful because of faer poor skill with thread magic (this is also the reason why the evil wild he turned back from being an otter kept some otter features)

Talking about modifications that fae did to faerself! We all know that he wasn't always evil, right? right?? if not yeah now you know, the thing is he turned himself evil with thread magic using the same spell that Kheel used to turn herself evil, this not only changed faer colors and that, but it also kinda changed faer way of thinking and behaviour, being one of the reasons that he was more egocentric and arrogant, which is very different from how he was before. The change to evil is somewhat recent though, happened a little before the timelines merging thing, he knew that he could do that thanks to the book that fae found about how that spell could make it possible to change the alightment of someones soul (not just colors, that's an easy change that anyone could do with any kind of magic, he literally modified his critical thinking and beliefs) kinda fucked up yes but at the time fae saw it as a way to "fix" faerself

Now, with this we can move to the thing that may be what catches most attention: the patches that seem to be non-inverted/evil. If you look closely or think more deeply about it, faer colors aren't completely inverted, and that's mainly for, again, his poor skills with thread magic, the inverted but still kinda weird colors are a sight that even the change from good to evil was unstable, and with a sudden change like becoming hylian again after so long weakened it even more, the only reason that it wasn't reverted completely like the other changes that fae did was because this was a stronger spell. The patches with the "original colors" are proof that the spell is wearing off, that can be also seen with his behaviour, being less and less arrogant and slowly going back to faer original personality (never will go back to normal, never fully, but he can at least get better someday) the main location were is more noticeable that the spell is wearing off is where the scars are, mostly because of the biggest amount of changes made that were reverted are located there (except faer cheek, that wasn't changed at all so only the scar stayed with the "original" color

this is a pretty beginner guide, all you need to know/be able to do is to sign in across devices with the same account to access bookmarks or Google Docs on both devices, or just manually copy the Pastebin link

alternatively, you can use this basic recommended setup I made for a friend, to save you a little time, and tweak the settings to suit your needs

I'm running Google Chrome, but there's a Firefox version of XKit Rewritten too, and this should work the same

I've tested this so far on a Windows laptop, Chromebook and a Steam Deck, and all are working perfectly

I'm currently writing up my own tutorial on getting XKR to work on mobile, along with Chromium based browsers

(XKit Rewritten = XKR for simplicity)

my XKR backup is too long to paste into in a new Text Post and Save as Draft, which is usually my go to for saving/hosting things for Tumblr, and trying to check if I can add it to a new page on my blog crashes the tab/Chome entirely on both my Chromebook and my Steam Deck, so neither of these options are viable

On the Exporting Device

go to your addons bar, select the XKit Rewritten "X" icon, backup, then "copy all"

Pastebin method:

open pastebin, "+ paste", paste the code/text log into the box, and "Create New Paste". you don't need to add any tags or be signed in for this. you can leave everything blank

bookmark this text file and save it as something obvious like "xkit backup", for example. save it to a bookmark folder or just your bookmarks bar. not important as long as you can find it again

on the device you want to import the settings to, open the bookmarked page, then select all the text by selecting the "raw" option, click in the text somewhere and hit CTRL+A, CTRL+C. this will highlight all the text and copy it

Google Docs method:

open Google Docs and log in with your Google Account. hit the big "+", "Create a New Document", and paste your code/text log in here. Save as something you'll remember like "xkit backup" for example

(you can bookmark this Doc for ease of finding, but it will be the last file in your list until you add more Docs)

on the device you want to import the settings to, open the Google Doc, Select all text either by selecting "Edit", then "Select All", Right click, then "Copy", or just hitting CTRL+A, CTRL+C

On the Importing Device:

open the XKR addon tab again, "Backup", this time "Import", then paste the text into the box. When you hit "Restore" it'll say "Successfully restored"

refresh your Dashboard and you should have all your settings restored!
