- Intro -
Muse Name (title/first/middle/last): Slaine Troyard Fandom/Media: Aldnoah.Zero Muse Role in Fandom: A Terran who came to Mars with his researcher father, he becomes close friends with the Versian Princess and then spends most the series trying to protect her from the assassination plot and later fulfill her dream of peace (although his methods become questionable). He also becomes invested in helping the impoverished citizens of Vers. Blog Type [Ask/RP]: Ask/RP Blog Rating: Mature. NSFW tagged or under readmore. Contains mentions of abuse and assault, self harm, and suicide. What makes your version of Muse different from canon/other blogs: Due to racism against Terrans, Slaine was abused in every way by the Versians for over two years, and prior to this, he was neglected by his father. As a result he has Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and suffers from various symptoms including depression, flashbacks, somatic memories, nightmares, toxic shame, etc. He is self-destructive and believes he deserves to be suffering.Â
Post-series and older!Slaine AUs explore this state and his recovery process. In other words, a more realistic portrayal of his derision, and a more angsty Slaine than was already necessary.
- About the World -

Geographical Location: Interplanetary space, Japan, Europe Time Period: Modern (First season set in 2014, second 2016) Places Muse is likely to be found: Count Cruhteo and Count Saazbaum’s landing castles (in space), moon base, Deucalion (flying battle ship), Europe and Japan

Alternate names for the Muse: Slaine Saazbaum Troyard; Count Slaine Saazbaum Troyard; Slaine Kaizuka Default facial expression/mood: Serious and focused. Post-series he is withdrawn although he is upset and embarrassed easily. Languages spoken: English, Japanese, most European languages, default language of United Earth Special abilities: Shooting, piloting, diplomacy, manipulation MBTI Personality Type: INFP Age: 18 (16 first season) Height/Weight: 170 cm/50 kg Hair color: Light blond Eye color: Blue-Green Skin color: White/Caucasian Sex/Gender: Male/Gender-Neutral Orientation: Demiromatic demisexual Relationship Status: Single; Engaged (recovery verse) Typical clothing: Various uniforms of the Versian knights depending on his status: seen above (servant, knight, count). In prison he wears lightweight light-blue shirt and pants. In other post-series verses (such as recovery verse) or AUs, he wears lightweight shirts, sweaters, jeans, a light blue jacket, and black coat. He often has bandages around his arms and thighs.
Identifying marks: Thin, elongated torture scars all over his chest, abdomen, back, and thighs; Self harm cuts up his entire arms and thighs (post-series and AU).
Description: Always determined to fulfill the expectations of him, Slaine cares little for himself and choose to live in hopes he could be useful to Princess Asseylum. The neglect from his father caused him to question his sense of self worth resulting in him letting the Versians abuse him without protest which further destroyed his sense of identity and ability to trust others. He spends the first season dependent on and fiercely loyal to Princess Asseylum (even keeping quiet while tortured for her sake), and during his time as count, he focuses all his effort into fulfilling the dreams of Princess Asseylum, Princess Lemrina, and Sir Harklight, further destroying himself in the process (perhaps to fulfill his own dream of reaching an end). Princess Asseylum’s abandonment of him destroyed what little hope and self interest he had left, and in post series verses, he is convinced he deserves his suffering and refuses to take steps to recover. He requires constant reassurance he won’t be abandoned again and despises his evident dependency on others. He struggles to stay in the present, and his demeanor switches from timid and submissive to more dominant and falsely confident. Otherwise he is quiet but interested in his surroundings.
