I’d like to meet the weirdo who read this novel and thought… “this would make an excellent sixty hour viewing experience.” I think we may both require therapy.

Shout out to the male lead for crying in every episode. And not the beautiful aesthetically pleasing tears of Fangs of Fortune. Oh no. Our boy is gonna ugly cry. In the most pitiful and anguishing way imaginable. Up until the very last episode.

Clearly gunning for an Oscar nomination was the guy who played the emperor. AKA the shittiest father in the world. Damn he was good.

I wanted to kick the prince for pining for this monster’s love so pathetically… but fuck, as if I am not in the same boat with my parents. I hated the Prince for hitting a little to close to home, ya dig? And I also had great compassion for him cause damn, son… that’s a rough life.

Also wtf with the long post-script? Good thing I was letting the credits roll when I started writing this review or I would have missed it!

Mr calm sneaky scholar guy definitely had secrets I wanted to know. And bestie is mad at the Prince??? Course everybody is mad at the Prince at some point or other in this story so welcome to the club, babe.

I assume the myriad of unanswered questions will come into play in season two. They better!

But before I tackle that I am taking a quick break to check in on the mpreg show Desire.

I am both prepared and not ready to learn more about his mother’s death… and his sister, too…

We’re on ep 51 and the show started with the infamous “denied at the door” scene… so it’s always been there… casting a long, dark shadow over everything in this show.
