I sighed, I was alone in collage, people had their partners and I was on my own, even my friend, Paul, had Emma.

Suddenly I felt a poke on my back, I turned around, speaking of which, it was Emma!

“Um, Hello Isaac…” She started; she had a slip of paper in her hands.

“What’s up?” I tried to be polite as possible.

“W-well, you know I sometimes do Ballet performances...?”

“Hm?”

“Well…there is one ticket left, and I knew you have been looking for art inspiration so…”

“Yea, I’ll go.” I smiled, she gasped as she handed the ticket to me.

I wasn’t really that interested in ballet, she knew that, but some art inspiration is what I really needed, how did she know that? Paul must’ve said so.

She walked off, chirping and skipping, she seemed really happy by it, and hey, it is a free ticket, so why not…?

Paul gave me a nudge.

“So what brought you here then?”

“Inspiration, Women are good at that kind of thing so I hear.”

He gave a laugh; I wasn’t trying to be funny, was I?

“They so are, I am here because I want to see Emma perform, this is her first time partnering up with someone.”

“Oh?”

“An American, she wants to make it big here so I hear, she came from a family which work for the law.”

“I also hear they are dressing up in the themes of birds.”

“Yea, dear Emma and her partners theme are peacocks.”

I just nodded in reply, as we gave our tickets in.

The stage lit up and the first two came on, and did there turn, then the next, and so forth.

Emma and her partner came next.

My eyes widened, she looked really pretty, her ginger hair flowing from the blue and green head band, the colourful tail of fake peacock feathers on the end of her blue dress, with turquoise here and there, with fake peacock feathers from her left shoulder to her right hip.

As the two danced, it was magical, I felt truly captivated by her moves.

I didn’t know her name, I never heard it, I was too busy looking at her.

As quickly as it begun, it ended.

Emma and the girl came to meet us, still in the outfits.

“That was amazing!” Paul was the first to praise. “Right Isaac?”

I nodded. “Truly captivating.”

“Oh you two are too kind.” Emma blushed.

The ginger haired girl looked at me, I turned away with a slight pink tinge to my cheeks, she giggled, I must have looked like a tart.

“You’re so funny Reddy~”

“Reddy? Oh right, my names Isaac.” I tried to smile.

“My names Lilian, nice to meet you!” she bowed, he accent showed though a lot.

“I will be pairing up with Emma as she shows me the basics, are you gonna come when we host another show?”

“O-Of course!” I couldn’t help but do a big grin and she laughed and clapped.

“Well, Lilian, we better get changed,.” Emma stated, then she look at us. “No peeking you two.” She joked.

The two girls walked off.

Paul nudged my shoulder.

“Soooo?” he looked hopeful.

“So what?” I replied.

“You like her don’t you?”

“…N-no!”

“Then what’s with the pause?”

“Piss off!”
