When Steve finds Bucky in Berlin, after asking Sam to give them a few moments alone, he comes closer to Bucky, crouches in front of the wary man and offers him to run away together.

In that moment, when he sees all the scars the world has left on the other man, Steve’s ready to leave behind everything he’s ever fought to preserve. To abandon this crazy world that’s doing nothing but racing towards its own annihilation with every passing day. He’s ready to throw the shield away, take off the mask and be simply Steve and Bucky.

If Bucky had said yes, Steve would have followed him to the end of the world and never looked back.

Bucky: Bucky’s taught himself how to cook back in the 30s just so he can invite himself into Steve’s apartment whenever he was too sick to go out and his mother was working and he’d often bring some extra ingredients he knows Steve’s mother can’t afford but he’d never let Steve see else he’d refuse to let Bucky do this again. Mother fucking hen Bucky Barnes is real. And he wears an apron.

Matt: There are probably 5 different cocktails named after Daredevil after he comes out publicly. Every time he, Foggy and Karen are out he’s always buying them a round and while Foggy chokes on his drink, Karen is just 0.0 and Matty just smirks, that smug b4st4rd.

Sam: He used to cook breakfast in bed for his partner and wingman Riley. When Steve and Nat came over, he cooked them breakfast because cooking for someone else again was soothing in its normalcy. And he really needed something to hold on to after his friends’ disturbing news.
