They had tried to save been from a kidnapping, tried to do everything in their power so Uma wouldn’t get her wand, they had tried to protect all of Auradon and she couldn’t have been more proud and scared for them. When everything had spilled out and they had finally told her what really happened her whole heart ached, she should have been there to help them and keep them safe, no matter what happened they where her responsibility and they were under her care.
She slowly cupped her cheeks, letting her thumb stroke over them while she shook her head fondly, everything really had changed in just a matter of months. “ Mal, you could never let me down, look of what you have done in just a few months, you have become this wonderful girl, brave and strong and I couldn’t be prouder of you, no matter what happens I will always be here to support you and the others… even if I don’t approve about the fact that you all didn’t tell me what was going on and that you put yourself in danger, I’m so incredibly proud that you did the right thing and tried your best. ”
The children weren’t the only one that had changed. She herself had changed from just being able to get to know them. They had had all taught her something new, all of them had shown her that people could change and that they could move on from terrible life experiences. Most of the adults in Auradon had realized that the children weren’t their parents and they proved that every day. They wanted to be good, they wanted to be better than their parents had been and they constantly impressed her. Who would have thought that she would see the first four villain kids like her own children? There wasn’t anything wrong with that, was it?
