"I'm just relieved everything worked out...more or less. I wonder where he's been staying?"
"I traded for a Stelgar scan a while back. We could try figuring that out in the Dromes or asking around Underworld City."

A batch of Rothar headcanons:
Has respect for certain OverWorlders, like Tangath and Intress. Considers them both worthy opponents. Not big on Mipedians, though. Him and Tangath were occasionally on the same missions during the Second M’arr Invasion and the two became friends.
While openly hostile at first, he became accepting of Chaotic players after Kaz helped Chaor a few times. Also, his encounter with Kaz’s crew during the Iparu encounter. Keeps out for the kid and other trustworthy players loyal to the tribe, which is why he bailed out Kaz from being attacked by Hammerdoom. Getting his ass whooped by Hammerdoom was a big blow to his pride. The handful of fools who mocked his loss right in from of Rothar met his fists.
Made sure Stelgar had a safe settling into his tribe. Stel wasn’t the first; Rothar is a go to UnderWorlder for outsiders looking to join the tribe. To him, the UnderWorlders are a tribe defined by an idea, not by certain species.
Near-daily customer at Inferno Inn. Takes a good amount of his will to not punch certain other regulars sometimes, like Krekk. Fourteen-solan champion of the Inn’s solanly drinking competition.
His Burithean axe belonged to his father, and his father’s before him.
Oh another thing I don't think gets discussed enough. Creatures being utterly blindsided in those rare moments when a human is willing and capable of fighting back instead of fleeing.
It is the last thing they expect.
Take Rothar in Iparu’s hideout: Rothar actually comments on it. He turns to them and goes, “I’m glad you’re still here” and “You don’t run; you’re brave.” He expected them to have ported away by now, and he expects Peyton to port away while he’s approaching him. Yes, these things are said condescendingly. He’s revelling in his victory at this point and is absolutely not taking the humans seriously. I still think he’s genuinely surprised they haven’t left yet. It might be the longest Rothar’s seen a human close up.

I think there is some hint of bemusement whenever a human even stands their ground, and creatures have no reference for what to do. A creature’s image of what a human can be is very limited, so it’s not hard to defy those expectations.
