She avoided stairs where she could, calling on the automated lifts that bobbed between floors. The mode of whizzing between levels made her queasy at first, but after coming upon scorch marks left from the fight with the sand constructs, she began to realize how much faster they might have moved if the ship had been fully operational.

Tracing their escape from the adjacent hallways, she came upon a familiar door, and something in her chest gave a thrum of realization. “The armory,” she murmured. Never one to get too attached to things before, it came as a bit of a shock for her to realize she really, really wanted her standard issue uniform, armor, and weapons back—not to wear or wield, though. Try as she might to quash it, some small, scared bit of her wanted more than anything to be able to smell the forest on the material.

The very real threat of annihilation had seemed to blur her memories of home—for just a moment, she needed to reassure herself it was still there.

How had Nightlight gotten it to open? She searched for a locking mechanism, a handle, hinges—even resorting to cramming her dirty, cracked fingernails into what she thought might have been the seam and pulling.

“Come on,” she hissed. “I was here before. Let me back in.”

I’m excited to move the DarkMoon plot along and want to extend all the love I can to those who participated in the event. Don’t think you’re out of the woods yet, though. There’s still more to be played out.

Oh dear oh dear what could it be?

It took all her restraint to keep from picking up her skirts and running to Mani’s chambers, not caring if she crashed into a Moonbot or knocked over a Moon Mouse in the process.  Instead, Tsarina Lunanoff gasped, joy brightening her face, as she heard the announcement, and dropped everything to stride to her son’s bedside. Instantly the air seemed lighter, the world fuller and even the scenes around her seemed to  g l o w .                   Everything would be all right now. But as she crossed through the doorway, his stillness dampened her enthusiasm considerably, and she did her best to proceed quietly.  Curious Moon Mice and Glowworms peeked in behind her, wondering if their presence would be welcome.  Mani’s mother noticed the stuffed rabbit tucked into bed with Mani and she fought back grateful tears.                                                     {“Hannah.”}

Short answer: Probably and yes.

Long answer:

Mani has been asleep for quite a while-- I’ll sort out the actual time with my partners and give an exact number. He’s essentially been asleep for as long as @seirlranpiscesatlen has been ‘dead’. The whole cosmos believes he died and only the Lunanoffs are aware otherwise. They’re the family he trusted most, after all.

To be asleep that long would take quite a toll on him both physically and mentally. Mani can be woken, yes, but the moment he is he’ll be extremely weak and quite hungry. His magic has been all that’s sustained him since he fell into his coma. This was after actually dying from the black magic that caused him to go mad.

Seirlran brought him back from death’s door, but it took the power of all the constellations he could speak to. He broke a taboo and there will be repercussions for that. There’s also the matter of the assassin who is still at large and likely still targeting Mani.

Mani will be bedridden for a few days after he wakes, he’ll need to eat and remain still which isn’t something he’s good at. Thankfully he’s got staff on board to keep him from hurting himself.

His father, @tsar-lunanoff is appointing a royal guard for him, they’ll be keeping an eye out for trouble. Meanwhile the Tsar and @tsarina-lunanoff will be running things in Mani’s stead.
