hey i am a loki fanartist and wanted to message you about the “tagging” problem with Loki. I absolutely agree with you on the “young adult loki” tagg it seams most accurate and wont be confused as often (teen loki is a bit softer and can be used for example very well for the animation film) and the best part is: if you want to shorten it it will be YA Loki - with will always reminds us on the young avengers and how we got the current you adult loki ^^. So lets make this official it will be the way i tagg things from now on.
I don't think we can get to an easy resolution, or make this tag more official than the others. I mean, it's been a year and, for instance, the tag of Kid Loki is used for both 616!Kid Lokis (plus MCU!Loki when he was a kid and and even other comic versions of Lokis when they were boys, but that was long before Gillen's JiM ended.) I wish we could settle on an agreement, but with the English word teenager also meaning people in their 18-19, his physical age left vague on purpose by Gillen (he feeds in our chaos), and half of fandom liking Teen Loki better for him... Well, I'm just one regular fan with a fandom-centric blog so anyway, I cannot force anyone into following the idea I use for inner tagging. (I don't even participate in the YA fandom so I'm literally nobody to give my opinion to them either.)
Then again, I also wished something had sticked with post-JiM 645 and pre-YA 11 Loki (aka the one I tag "young loki") instead of sharing tag with Kid Loki, but nothing ever caught on. Man, I really wish the three little shits had each their own tag. It saves me time when I check stuff but it's a pain either way when I just want to see one of the Lokis. Sigh.
The shortening isn't necessarily that clean to me because "Young Loki" is also a Young Avengers Loki (actually, "young loki" was picked by me because I was too lazy to type the whole thing and I always suspected this aging was going to happen), so we're back to confusing bodies of Loki. But hey, if you dig it and it works for you, go and use it yourself and that's all that matters :)
