Hmmmm, in The D.A.H.L.I.A. Project my favourite part is the adaptability. It’s our world, but in Dahlia’s eyes it’s a twisted mangled world of colours and lines and swirls that don’t always connect. It’s like looking at an optical illusion: anything can be true if you want it to be. 

As the POV switches, you see a harder world, a world of blood and hurt and grey concrete. A world of mourning and loss, but found family and love. And again one of hope and new beginnings, something new to explore every day. And yet another of mixing worlds, of a dream that isn’t realized and will never be realized but a new one, a stronger one taking its place.

There are so many ways to define a world. 

In A Deal Worth Taking, my favourite part would probably be Rosiko. I project onto her a lot even though she’s a relatively new character. She wants to learn, she wants to see, and she wants to do so many things and she does. She sings with the sirens and dances with the fae and suns on rocks with the selkies.

Ros talks to people every day and she really loves everyone she comes across. She has so much joy to give, so much life to have. It makes me smile.
