aggravated hostility, painted like a hallmark, poised like a statue, stands viciously brilliant in his frame & features. he maintains an accusatory volatility, fists tight at his sides, festering in a silent restraint. there’s a pain in his chest, a pain in his skull: this sense of betrayal, this violent paranoia, this knife to the ribcage --- he swallows, hoping to speak, but his pride sticks to the back of his throat like liquid gold, burning hot & suffocating.
