Lessons From Pain
Today's morning magic message comes from the Edgar Allan Poe Tarot. I pulled The Ten of Swords Card. The story is "The Murders In The Rue Morgue". The story is about a grizzly murder of mother and daughter, where detectives cannot solve the crime. The house appeared to be locked from the inside and no human clue was left behind. This is a gruesome tale, but so is the Ten of Swords card. You've been stabbed in the back, you've suffered a great loss, very tough times…you ask yourself "why me?". This is all justifiable, but please remember that tens are the end of cycles, something new is just around the corner. Healing, insight, new beginnings. You've suffered a proverbial "death" and you are so close to a transformation. What have you learned? How has this changed you? How will this make you a better person?
Think Of The Consequences!
Today's morning magic message comes from the Edgar Allan Poe Tarot. I pulled The Three of Swords Card. The story is "The Tell Tale Heart". The story is about a man who murders his landlord out of hatred and paranoia. He buries the landlord's body parts under the floor boards of the house. The police arrive and during the interrogation, the man's guilt slowly turns to madness as he believes he can hear the dead old man's heart beating in under the floor. I always think of the phrase "crime doesn't pay" when I read this story. For those with a conscience, doing something we ultimately know is wrong, will gnaw at us and bring us guilt. Instead of acting impulsively, stop and think of the consequences. When you act out of emotion, be it anger, fear or rejection, the repercussions can be irreparable, keep that in mind.
