For me personally one of the greatest pleasures in spring is to enjoy the first flush of the roses. I would like to share this joy with you and show them a little more often on my account in the next couple of weeks. Today’s featuared rose is ‘Madame Caroline Testout’ which was bed by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, 1890). It is one of the earlier Hybrid Tea roses and I like her large, globular, blousy, blooms very much. This rose has a very beautiful, soft, light pink color with a slightly darker center and it comes with a mild fragrance. The overall impression is that of a very romantic old-fashioned rose beauty! What do you think of her? Do you like her or not so much? Do you grow this rose in you garden? And if so, I would love to hear from you what is your experience with her. This photo was taken at the International Rose Test Garden in Portland, Oregon two years ago. #madamecarolinetestout #madamecarolinetestoutrose #rosamadamecarolinetestout #rose #roses #rosesofinstagram #roseoftheday #pink #lightpink #globular #globularbloomform #beautiful #fragrance #fragrant #mildfragrance #romantic #hybridtearose #hybridtea #pernetducher #organicgardendreams #internationalrosetestgarden #internationalrosetestgardenportland #portland #oregon (at Portland, Oregon)
