LAST RESORT.

She had thought she had found Sanctuary before. Two thousand years of searching for a place to call home had left her weary, and she was running out of options.
Today was one of those days.
Her caravan was on its way to a new kingdom. She didn’t know much about it except for it was a safe haven for demons, and that her father had once lived there...
Her attention turned to the locked room in her caravan, the one that was magically sealed about fifty times. Her parents’ remains were in there, along with their possessions.
Claim your birthright. Her mother’s stern but loving voice. The best damn blacksmith that Ogrenmar had seen.
You’ve been so troubled all this time. Find a place to rest. Her father’s gentle and encouraging tone. The demon who had abandoned everything just to raise her.
She bit her lip, and after a long time of looking at the door she finally conceded.
When the caravan stopped at the gates to the mysterious kingdom, Nico emerged, no longer wearing the hat that hid her horns and her bunny ears, instead dressed in an immaculate beautiful dress and a light jacket over top, with a ruby pendant hanging from her neck. Her father’s last gift.
And in her hands were an impossibly sharp, serrated dagger and flintlock. The weapons her mother had left her in case she ever needed to defend herself... no, she wouldn’t need those. She tucked them away in the pack strung over her back, approaching the guards at the gates.
“E-excuse me...” She murmured. “I heard this was a s... safe place for demons. Does that extend to half-demons?”
