Tim stood a little shell-shocked in the entrance of the hotel room, clutching the coffee in his hands like a lifeline. His face was burning red still.

"Oh, you've got it bad," Dick said suddenly, tearing Tim from his thoughts.

"Huh?"

Damian just rolled his eyes and pushed past them into the main room.

Dick set his bags down by the door. He fixed Tim with a knowing grin.

“You have a crush on that Danny guy,” he said.

Tim made an indignant squawk, glaring up at Dick.

“What? We hardly talked to them, I–”

“You already called him an angel, and your face is bright red, Timmy,” Dick said.

“Hey, I got maybe twenty minutes of sleep last night; I’m not really thinking straight.” He walked around Dick and set his own bag down on the bed closest to the door. Damian had already taken the one by the window and he didn’t feel like fighting for it.

“You definitely aren’t thinking straight, I can agree with that,” Dick said teasingly.

From the fic I was gonna post for the Batpham discord beach event, but the idea got too big to have any hopes of finishing it in a timely manner lol

💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language

The most important part for me is to make the story something you'd believe can happen.

Characterization is very important to me. Are the characters plain? Two dimensional? In fanfiction: Are they OOC? Would X character say this? How would they react if Y situation happened?

I worry that a story is too incredible to happen, that my readers will roll their eyes and say "yeah sure, but I would not be so stupid to make that decision". That if conflict happens (which WILL happen, since the plot needs to move forward), the characters' actions are credible in their circumstances. That the reader may have more information than them, but even so, it isn't that obvious what decision is the correct one.

I despise "idiot plots" (Overly Sarcastic Productions has a video on this trope) because it falls into rearranging the whole story to make 1 scene happen, and then the rest of the fic/book/movie exist just to justify one thing.

Make it complex. Make it interesting. Make it real.

7. I'm a big fan of risograph printing. It's such a cool specialized skill that takes a lot of work to pull off. It's not something I think I'd ever be able to do, but I love the look of it all the same!

11. Oh, y'know I listen to a lot of different things! When I'm sketching I listen to music on spotify so I can read scripts. Then audiobooks, lets plays or podcasts while I'm inking/toning. I just finished Going Postal by Terry Pratchett, Factfulness by Hans Rosling and the 2nd Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells. I also highly recommend the podcasts "Oh No Ross & Carrie", "The Empty Bowl" and "Myths and Legends".
